No getting away from it, we were awful. Glorified friendly or not, it showed that we are lacking in depth. Some of the selections and positionings may have been experimental but it left me bemused. I agree the best team lost (and that is a difficult to say) but if you grind them out you will always progress. Finally, I regret to say that goalkeeping boys from big clubs is never the answer, excellent they may be a shot stopping, but, from what I have seen so far, the rest of the big boys game is a few years away from them.

Indeed. I lost count of the amount of times Lewis turned around and spoke to Goldberg in the stand behind, even beckoning him down twice to talk formation / players not performing, etc.
