Mr Taylor deserves a lot of credit, but his team selection has backfired massively today.

The best form of defence is attack.

We waved the White flag before today's game even started.

By not choosing any strikers you are telling the opposition how weak you are before the game even started and inviting them to attack. At 5-0 down, Daniel Carr was still on the bench, so if he's not seen as the answer get rid.

As said above, Peter Taylor deserves a lot of credit but the starting
line up was very poor today.

However I don't think that would have solved much... Ebbsfleet were a good side but defensively we are awful

That was men v boys. We have been punching in recent weeks defending single goals.
Lets be realistic, we are very poor and as witnessed throughout this season, unable to play ball to feet football.
Long ball football and a counter attacking goal? Maybe.
Something certainly needs to change because there are many teams in leagues lower than us that would/will turn us over.
If we had the same 11 who turned out at Woking not so long ago, this result would never ave looked as poor as it currently does

I didn't go today and I am glad I didn't, left early during the Dartford game and today would have been a longer way home. Peter Taylor has done good things since he has been here and, at times, I have been impressed by his honesty and mystefied by his optimism. We have played some poor/average sides recently and, at times got away with things. Today is a reality check, we cannot cope with the big boys and we have more of them to come. At present, we are an average side. I do not wish to sound negative, but unless something drastic happens, if we hold our current position at the end of the season I shall be surprised. I hope I am surprised.

Tbf. We should never have had the 11 that turned up against Woking not so long ago. The Steve King era was fun but it wasn't something that the club could afford.

If we have the lowest budget in the league, it is an achievement that we are not bottom.

Maybe not, but we deserve better than what is currently being served up, surely?

Well it depends on how much money we have available and how much of his own money Mr Goldberg wants to spend.

Having a low budget is ok, but being full-time in step 6 is more worrying!

The results of late show us for what we are, and that's ok. We'll finish about where we are. Nothing to worry about. Long season!

We had a very fortunate run of fixtures when Taylor took over and the important thing is we got points from them at they will save us from relegation, although if it was 4 teams down that would be different!
Looking at the performances and fixtures now we'll be lucky to win a game before the end of January.

Can't disagree with a lot of the comments, but let's be honest Ebbsfleet we're a totally different class of team and I'd be surprised if they don't win the league.

They were a different class and the best side I have seen this season.  But it doesnt change the fact how negative we were from the off or how bad some of our performances have been (even when we have won).
We need some creativity in midfield, experience in defence and a striker, and a bit more of a gamble at times from the management.

Just from a statistical point of view, I can't remember Welling ever having been hit in the league for 6 twice in one season? And we're not halfway through yet

I said something very similar yesterday,  2x6 1x5 1x4..its definitely a concern especially as you say we're not even half way

I cant remember having as bad a squad as this, were no threat up front no creativity in midfield and rely on a very young back four and keeper to win us games.

You can have  all the creativity in the world, but if you dont have any strikers on the pitch to put it in the net, then you are on a hiding to nothing.

Would really like to know Mr Taylors thought process behind not playing Carr (or the ex Harrow striker if he is still at the club)

We could have had Messi and Ronaldo up front and we still lose that game..

There will be an interview with PT up later tonight or tomorrow.
