At least we didnt go out to a lower league team as 5 other teams did in our league including Ebbsfleet to Cray Wanderers assuming BBC are correct.
That's fair comment but when you think of the costs, it's a bigger loss. Would much rather have had a home tie and given it a go, than paid to get there and lose out in all ways - no money for being in the competition....but a bill from the players and coach company! We are terrible in cup matches in recent times, so the result is no suprise.
Disappointing today, we led twice, played some great football in patches but seemed to switch off at times. We should have never let Hungerford back into the game just before half time and then after going 2-1 up it was poor to concede twice in the last ten.
We badly need some experience in the defence, as an older head may have settled things down after we went 1-0 up and at 2-2, and would have helped in the Hampton game plus others.
I like Bradley Stephenson and he ran his wotsits off today but he can't play up front on his own, he would be great playing off a striker who can hold the ball up and bring people into the game, and that's something we desperately need as well.
To take some positives we scored a couple of goals and did play some nice football, and next week is a very important game.

Incorrect. Losing teams at this stage are given £1,000

Thats true but with a crowd of £200 I suspect we have had to dip into that to pay for the coach. I really think the trophy could do with a restructure with games being more localised in the early stages with the games being played midweek. It looks like we will have another Saturday without a match on December 18th.
