Hopefully we continue the away form of last 2 away games. Going to be a tense evening at work checking flashscores every 2minutes I know that!

Unsure I'll get away with that whilst issuing tickets on a train but I'll try my best!

Embarrassingly, our biggest game of the season.

Just got back from Braintree. We dominated practically the entire game and Braintree scored from their only 2 threatening attacks. After going 2 down, I couldn't see us scoring two, but what a great feeling when that second went in! Absolute scenes behind the goal.

A draw away is always a good result especially after being 2 down, but if we scored in the first half before we went behind I think we would have won comfortably.

Decent second half from us and great character to come back from 2-0 down but if we just played like that for more than 45 minutes then we will beat teams. We were all over Braintree the second half, if only we had a better 10-15min spell in the first. Can't remember the last time we had good crosses and scored so just shows a touch of quality can make all the difference. Shame on their goalkeeper feigning a head injury, fine if he pretends he's got a leg injury etc. but same old Braintree I suppose.

Good for Jack Packman in booking him fairly early for time wasting and having none of his feigning injury. He told Braintree to kick off while he was still on the ground. It was strange how quickly he got up.

Wider issue is - what if he did have a genuine head injury and play was not stopped (it was pretty obvious though he was fine!)? and what if a player thinks he won't get anything so does play on with a genuine head injury? About time players looked at serious injuries seen at games and say to themselves 'should I really feign a head injury?' Less chance of getting anything with a supposed leg injury but at least it's not potentially very serious.

Packman did well last night - hope that continues.

First half looked like two very ordinary sides and the ball was like the proverbial hot potato. I think we were slightly edging it and then we gave away a poor goal.

At half time I felt we could get back in it and then we gave away a very soft goal which felt like it was in slow motion. Credit where credit is due as a couple of months back we would have folded and lost comfortably. Good to see the all round spirit emphasised by the celebrations after the equaliser which was a well worked goal. If anyone was going to win the game after that it was us and we look mentally and physically stronger and fitter than we have done in the past. We still had too many players trying to do it on their own when a simple pass was the best option and we need to make the opposition work much harder for their goals than we did last night.

Last but nor least a nod to the referee. I feel he has stitched us up in the past but last night he had a good game and was one of the better refereeing performances I have seen this season!

Pretty much word for word how I saw last night too - my first game in person this season. Two really poor sides in the first half.

In the end we celebrated a 2-2 draw, but left feeling like we had so much of the second half that it could have been a win.

Oh....and it was sodding freezing!
