I would like possibly 2 supporters to do a quick interview with me before the game to discuss thier thoughts on our season etc
,ideally it would be good to have fans that intend to go to Billericay next weekend so we can discuss that to. I'm hoping to add whats recorded tomorrow to the next podcast..would anyone like to do it..?

That really was a cruel and brutal defeat. Almost season defining. Next week is MASSIVE.

Its always something, I know a few didn't play in Kent Cup but we've conceded 4 goals from corners in 2 games.

Ive said it before; we dont play for 90 minutes. Non-existent mostly for the first half then started the second half well but for some reason took our foot off the pedal after 20 minutes. Cant defend, cant create that many chances and surviving at the moment on other poor results.

To say I was disappointed on the way home on the bus is not a strong enough by far. Hemel were there for the taking and we spurned the opportunity. Never has the old saying 'If you don't take your chances you don't win your games" been more true than today. Four gilt edged chances were not converted and we payed for it in the end. I am not going to dissect tactics etc, however, IMO and it is only my opinion, how Theobald got on the pitch at the expense of Saunders- Henry is beyond me and how it remained the same for 90 mins leaves me totally baffled. We need points against sides like Hemel for our fixture list soon gets very difficult. We obviously need to come away with something next week, if not then we are on a wing and a prayer.

Be interested to know peoples thoughts on that early incident when a number of players went down injured in the Hemel penalty area.
Referee appeared to let play continue and our attempt on goal was clearly handled by the Hemel defender.
Failing that, the opportunities that we spurned were soul destroying.
Dipo must be gutted with the amount of guilt edged opportunities he offered only to see them wasted.
Said this on the previous weeks thread, but how someone like Coombes would make such a difference.

Was going to say Im very disappointed not to get something out of the game, because we should have won it, and how we didnt is a mystery. At least 3 decent missed chances cost us, and with 10 minutes left of the game I didnt think they looked like scoring?
Bringing Ben Allen back could be a very good signing, and hopefully he can score goals to keep us up?? Think him and dipo could be a handful up front as dipo is a different player now then when ben was here last?! Onwards and upwards and on to a massive game next week!

Ben Allen will not score the goals we need. He runs around a lot and gets booked and not much else.

The thing is, at this level and where we are, plus the financial side of it, who can you get that will score goals? If they did they probably wont be at welling? You obviously havent looked at Bens career? He was with us and the start of the season and scored 3 goals in about 6/7 games? I am good friends with his dad so I know a bit about where he has been and he as scored goals at gillingham, Bromley and concord? He isnt actually a striker, hes normal position is a winger! But yes, he does get booked a lot.passion some might say??!

Agreed, he was decent for us in his little spell last time and I really hope he starts behind dipo next week.

I was clearly watching a different Ben Allen to some today..?? Why are we signing a bloke who can't make the starting XI for the 15th placed side in the same division..??

When he came on I said he will run around a lot, achieve very little and smash someone off the ball needlessly and he did exactly that.

Didn't understand the substitutions and change of shape at all.

However as others have said, we should be 2 or 3 up before they scored and, even with our porous defence, that might have been enough.

Could and should have been 9 clear of Billericay next week and put massive pressure on them with three points today....

I'm not sure about Ben Allen coming back. I don't understand why Taylor got rid of Che Krebbendam.

What's probably more important is stopping conceding cheap goals. I was n't at the game today but was listening to the BBC Kent stream. They kept mentioning Elliot Johnson was from Dagenham but it seems that maybe there are two players of the same name and I can't find any info on the other one. Was he any good? Centre back has been our problem area since pre season. Also you'd expect that an experienced centre back would have scored 3 or 4 goals for us by now if we'd had one.

If Ben Allen scores goals or does well only time will tell but I think it will be a positive signing then a negative one?
Did Taylor get rid of Che or did he leave to go Dartford on his own accord??!

As long as he doesn't get himself sent off through ill discipline.

I think Taylor must have got rid as he didn't seem to join Dartford for about a month after he left us.
