Well at least Billericay didnt get a point either, what a disaster. Our goal difference just gets abysmal.

I've watched some dross at Welling in my time but that has to be one of the worst teams we've put out on the pitch. Poor defending, no closing down, wayward passing, no cohesion, just nothing... Dipo only one showing anything, Bradbury didn't win a single header all game and we'd have got more running out of a statue. Only saving grace is Billericay are just as bad as we are, looks like it's going to the wire.

The Dorking number 7 had acres of space first half. Nobody marking or closing him down. It could have been 0-5 at half time.

Another horror show. If we stay up I will be totally amazed, and amazed how bad Billericay would be for us to scrape second bottom.  I still think our dreadful goal difference will catch up with us.

Not at game today but I do wish 0ur players would pass on the pitch instead
Of keep playing goofball as David C said. In the air the ball is anyones on the pitch
Our players have a better chance of getting the ball and getting "GOALS" and what do
GOALS make POINTS.

Couldn't make the game today as I wasn't in Welling. Was the result just about us being bad or were Dorking a class above. I am still hoping we can get something from the Hungerford and Concord games as they aren't anything special. We have picked up points against poor teams this season but always been thrashed against promotion contenders. I don't expect to get any points against Havant.

Wasn't at the game today but know Dorking are a good side and we are not!

Don't understand the selection and the lack of any defensive midfielder in the starting XI. Welling fans are largely a tolerant bunch and will accept defeat if the effort is there but I am not sure that we are getting that from the whole team..?? The "miracle of Eastbourne" was a freak result and today proved that. We need to stay in the game for longer than 15-20 minutes and the way we fold EVERY time after conceding a goal has been going on  under all players and all managers the whole season (and still is) and that in itself is quite alarming.

And please please please spare us the social media platitudes this evening of "the fans were great....we go again next week...blah blah blah..." and try and do more of your talking on rather than off the pitch.

Can't quite believe we still have a chance of staying up but it's only a chance and requires 100% effort and commitment on and off the pitch for the last four games.

We've got worse since Taylor left. We've replaced an experienced mangaer for an inexperienced one looky scruffy wearing a hoodie and generally looking uninterested. Weve replaced a goalkeeper who made the odd mistake with a loanee 4 years younger whos not as good. We have replaced an experienced holding midfielder and left back/ left wing with what exactly? Alfie Matthews whos never made a senior football appearance before playing for us. Hes completely naive and not what we nedd at this stage of the season. Bradbury is useless, he should never play for the club again, just settle his contract and let him go.

And the tactics today were so clueless it should be enough to see the club settle his hotel bill and call this farce a day. Dorking are smashing teams to pieces, we should be lining up with 11 men behind the ball trying to nick a point not starting with 4 strikers.

We ARE the worst team in this league. Dorking had a cigar and slippers on just before half time.We didnt trouble their keeper all day. Our players looked defeated as soon as we let in the first goal. If our present keeper is better than Jack Sims then Im Winston Churchill.
We got rid of Peter Taylor and brought in a manager who doesnt have a clue. 4 points from a possible 18. Not exactly a new manager bounce.

That's actually an improvement on recent years!

Infact there's still time for MG to take over for the final two games with Tristan Lewis running over the hill shouting I kept them up!

so lining up with 11 men behind the ball is the answer? Do me a favour.

we took the game to them for the first 20 mins and looked quite tidy. You think letting them walk the ball to the half way line would have resulted any differently?
Get a grip FFS.

I saw Paul recently at the Cheltenham Festival (horse racing) and had a chat about his time at Welling. Thoroughly nice fella who despite how it ended spoke highly of Welling. He reminded me that he got us to this level we currently play at lol

As for today, yuck! only positive is we end the Bank Holiday period some how 1 point ahead of Ricky. Merely a stay of execution I fear judging on what I have seen over Easter. Sad times. Not right to point players out they are all as bad as one another Dipo aside.
