Well that shows we are a decent team. A very even game IMHO. I really thought we had held out but fair play to H&W they kept going for it with 10. Their 9 Prior took his equalising goal well. Dunno who got MOTM but I thought James Dunne stood out today. Good crowd 1100 odd. Lovely to go to a game where the atmosphere is upbeat and great to see some yoof at the games these days.

It was my first home game for over a year, due to ongoing health problems.

What a difference a year has made. Commercial side is miles, miles better. The marquee with the lager pumps is great. Lots of staff around the ground keen to help and being friendly. Was v impressed.

The football is better, the mood is better and the comments of people around me when leaving the ground were so positive.

Well done to the new management

Havant came into this with one loss in fifteen games, and had won 7 of their last 8 games, so it is a sign of our progress that a 2 - 2 draw feels straight after the match a disappointment rather than a great result. Myles was my man of the match, I can't wait to see one of his flying saves on the match vid. I also can't wait to see why our third goal was disallowed, as I am guessing it may have been a foul, as it cant have been offside as all the players were so close to the goal line. One of the conceded goals was an unlucky sliced own goal, so one of those games where we would win more often than not in the long run. I have for quite a while seen us, Havant and Ebbsfleet as the most likely top three teams, so good to play Havant, just to find out how good they are, as it feels quite likely we could meet again in the play offs. As today's result suggests, they are very good, but not better than us. Before the match they had four players with three or more goals, so are a sound team all round, and the best team we have faced so far this season. Great attendance, and nice it is regularly increasing, as new attendees come back as they like what they have seen. I didn't like the way Havant kept jumping for headers and then falling down for free kicks, nor the way Stefan kept getting fouled and the ref just kept ignoring it. But a resolute performance, if we'd lost we'd have been nine points behind them, which would have been tricky to close, though 37 games to do it, but have kept the starting six point gap, which is closable, as we have a decent run of fixtures up to January. This was a performance that we couldn't have made in the past few seasons, so fantastic work by Warren and the guys, and shows how right Warren is to fear no one in our division.

Pretty sure the assistant ref flagged that ball had crossed the goal line and awarded a goal kick. He was 40 or 50 yards away whilst the ref who looked like he gave the goal then ran over to the assistant ref to ask why he flagged. He agreed with his assistant and dissallowed the goal.

It had gone out. There is photographic evidence apparently.

A hard fought game. Looking at the match dispassionately a draw would appear an appropriate result, however, on the bus home it felt like a defeat. With little time to go we spurned a golden opportunity and they go up the other end and equalise. That's football and I suppose we have to live with it. Notwithstanding this we are now more like the Welling United side of old and let's hope it continues on Tues. IMO opinion (and perhaps not a true reflection on the game) but I thought our goalkeeper Myles Roberts was our MOM.

Fair play if the assistant and the ref got it right eventually although any photographic evidence is irrelevant to be fair. The right or wrong decision should be made on the field.

A great game of football for the neutral! Thought Welling were unlucky just to get a point and proved more than a match for a team second in the league. Myles Roberts had his best game in a Welling shirt and was superb. A cracking shift from every player today.

Off the pitch, things were great today. The bar was much more efficient, and it was great to see so many people in the bar at 6.30pm compared to previous years. It was also great to see our players together in the bar after the game where they showed they are a team, and not a group of individuals like previous years. 1100+ people in the ground is also good.

On and off the pitch things are looking good. Long may it continue.

Looking forward to the highlights. Cant help think that the first defender gets clattered for the late equaliser.

Credit to Doswell, he gives us late surprises at PVR.
