Hopefully Barnes is back and we can play a flat back 4 as Nelson limping on Saturday and must be a doubt. Saw Taylor Curran in the bar on Saturday, I thought he'd left, but maybe on the comeback trail as well. Very useful player, but never fit.
Can honestly say I have seen them either on the pitch or returning from training ground on various Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. So my assumption is they do train. However not sure if it is football or circus skills.
Having watched some play on Saturday then again on Sunday I think there is more passion and desire in the ladies squad to win and progress.
Do believe in my mere 20 years of watching Welling this is the first time I have vented against the team. Cannot understand why young Cameron is not starting and we have to wait till the 73rd minute before he come on.

We are playing Sluff and Concord as our next two league games. Then H&W in the trophy. We should win the league games lol. If we dont Feeney needs to fall on his sword and let someone else knock these players into shape. The feel good factor has long since gone. Embarrassing tonight. Shocking. Crap. Pathetic. Clueless. etc etc etc.
The stats when playing 5 at the back dont lie.
Why continue with a formation that is obviously not working?
How much longer do we continue with a formation that leaves us flat and clueless?
Horrible game that was practically over at HT. We have an awful recent record against them too, lost 6 of the last 7 meetings and that includes a 4 nil, a 6 nil and now a 5-1.
There was slight moment that could have turned things, after they gifted us a goal for 3-1, a subsequent goal mouth scramble led to their keeper making a point blank save. Had that gone in for 3-2 it might have been a different game, but it didn't and we conceded two more. No midfield meant long ball was the order of the day. Need to improve if we are to stay in the top half of the table.

Oh now come on, you were never going to win that game. Your boys never showed up today it was too easy.
We lost tonight to a team that did the basics well. Fit, well organised, 2 old school centre halves who lapped up every useless long ball we pumped forward. The few times we got the ball down and ran at Tom Bonner, we had success, but that was very few.
However there was little desire, commitment, plus players pulling of tackles, it's all a disgrace. I can accept losing games of football, but the bare minimum is effort and desire. They didn't even listen to Mr Hartley FFS.....
No pace in midfield or anyone who can run with the ball until Andrews came on near the end, no Wingers on the pitch who could run at a slow defence, and despite 5 defenders on the pitch, we were painfully slow to react to 3 of Dartfords goals which came from a save from the keeper. There's no rapid forward who can get in behind the striker, so it's all long ball, which we are determined to play with little success. We've signed a midfielder who hadn't really played in two years, we then signed a striker who was blowing out of his backside 15 mins after coming on as sub, who I believe has scored 5 goals in his last 50 games, however he also last played 2 years ago. Why not bring in a lad from the academy, or some young striker from the league below who would be running their backsides off, desperate to impress, instead of an ex pro who is 34 next month?
All pre-season, we got the ball down, got it to Wingers, attacked the full back and got it in the box. That seems to have gone out of the window completely.
Something has to change, whether it's 3 or 4 players, the tactics, or the manager, or all of the above. I don't particularly want to be chopping and changing managers like we have in recent years, but something has to change. I'm not totally in the Feeney out camp as I'm sure many who post here will be and I hope he can turn the recent form around but things need to be very different after the game next Tuesday.

You're 100% right it was gifted to you on a plate. All the goals we hand a helping hand in giving them.
Said not been convinced by Feeney since his appointment. After the first few games I was hoping to be proved wrong but the same questionable tactics, personel decisions and what from what the team are displaying in terms of commitment, levels, desire etc he clearly has lost the respect or isn't a very good coach.
Its easy to blame a manager but not seeing enough to suggest things are trying to be put right.
Really hoping we don't revert to signing long forgotten players for a last hurrah it didn't work last year; see hinds.

We are a very long way away from the top sides....Ebsfleet/Dartford/Havant/Chelmsford
We are probably in the middle third I guess
Not everyone can win the league and be in the top 6 all season, but there is a major difference between that and what we see tonight. It was absolutely one of the worst performances I've ever seen.
There was no fight, no direction, no clue of how to deal with them and no sense of someone wanting it. It's a small detail but there wasn't even a yellow card, it's a derby game! Nobody prepared to put their foot and say I want this!
The team we had last year on paper were technically not as good as what we have now, but the effort was 90% more.
I'm sorry Mr Feeney I think you are a great bloke but it's not working out. The other option is as others have said well change 4 or 5 players, but where at this stage in the season do you get replacements?
The signing of Jay Simpson is actually embarrassing, that's nothing personal to him but come on, I've played more football than him two years! If that's all we can come up with then we are going nowhere fast. It's a massive shame because ofd the field things have improved massively but don't let this carry on and all be in vein.
The arrogance of this interview is incredible. Feeney Out!
Welling United FC will be here longer than you will Feeney. This club means a lot to a lot of good people. Your arrogance is disgusting and not welcomed.

Having just listened to the interview, I cant believe the arrogance of the man. He can blame whoever he wants for individual mistakes, but he is very much lacking too. His playing career is behind him and hes not at the same level as a manager. Needs to show the fans way more respect than with that flippant arrogant comment in tonights interview.

In a private group chat with others this is the first thing said, pure arrogance. Then i come on here and its being echoed, unbelievable.
I really do like Feeney, but did not appreciate his comment about try playing in front of 60k, thats a derby This means just as much to us (Welling Fans) as it does for Rangers and Celtic fans. Just because we do not have the fan base, it does not mean we care less about our club.
Sorry Feeney but you let yourself down in comments like that
Read about Henry's stint in New York, they absolutely hated him due to his 'you'll do as I did attitude' and he failed miserably. I dunno how it worked in Poland but maybe the translator missed out a few choice words!
Looking back, how many times in interviews has feeney said "when I played" or "when I played at" it seems a lack of knowledge and a slight disrespect to me of our level.
His interview tonight reeked of desperation and 'blame everyone but me' not that he mentioned a name but "4 goals were down to the same individuals mistakes" absolute nonsense, unless of course he talking about himself!
Not once in any interview has he taken the blame, 'I got it wrong' etc...like any good manager worth their salt would do to deflect a bit of criticism away from players. Has to go, we've seen it all before, really is no way back.
