A lot of dice rolling with player recruitment this season and clearly not getting many sixes either. Player recruitment & turnover needs to improve going forward.

I look for an end product in players - a goal, an assist, a save, a crucial tackle - and I never really saw any end product from Palace, as he never looked particularly likely to score, didn't set much up, so I couldn't really see what he brought to the team. I paid a lot of attention to him in our cup game against Cray Valley to work out why he was ineffective, and he was so deep in midfield he was far too far away from goal to be in any good scoring positions, so didn't have the positioning sense a striker needs, unless he had been asked to play deeper that game.
That leaves just Medy Elito as a player I don't rate, he also doesn't produce an end product. The rest of the team are fine though, no one else should go apart from Medy.
So overall signings have been fine so far, there is always luck in signings, one hopes all players can successfully meet higher challenges faced from heavier training and a higher league than played in, but there will be a few that don't make that step up, and that is only clear after a while when they've had a chance to show what they can do.
When we started we had lots of young signings, it seems we are now getting older more experienced signings. But my only concern about the switch of focus is that it isn't very long term thinking, as if we aim to retain players for next season it's better to retain younger players than older ones, as it would be good to have a core for years ahead.

This happens at nearly all clubs when rebuilding a squad. Players can look $1m in pre-season or training but it doesn't work out for them in competitive action. Even in Jamie Day's successful spell there was much coming and going early on.

I don't personally recall this much dice rolling I have to say, then again I do not think Jamie had the luxury of such a big squad.

Thanks Dave
I reckon its a loan because hes on a contract so cannot get rid.
22 players are according to warren.
I disagree warren sees anything in him because hes hardly played
When other strikers been out for whatever reason hes played papadopoulos whos not a forward in front of palace.
