Their manager is really impressive, and knows opponents inside out. Our game against them was the best whole match performance I've seen from us so far this this season. He's given an interview about this match on his club channel, well worth a look to understand how they are approaching this game. To summarise, they have had lots of players out injured so have been relying on a small core recently, now the injuries are improving, so he is giving the recovered players a run out today, and giving lots of his core a rest.

There was two added minutes. The ref turned that into twooooooooooooooo added minutes. You guessed it they score. Kick off, two seconds later the ref blows for HT.
Enjoyed the match today, the fitness levels and determination of the team was impressive, a shame that they got the goal just before half time. But quality won out in the end - well done to all.
only disappointing side to today was the new catering, prices seem to have increased significantly.
Enjoyed that performance, looked like the new formation from recent weeks was really starting to gel together. Could of had a couple more too, Payne was never offside when put threw near the end and the chance when their keeper dropped it. We look like a side working for each other again.
Loved the effort and workmate today. The pressing in the first half forced Havant into errors for both goals, and it reminded me of the Oxford game where we bullied them early. The front two had a cracking game and worked hard. I'm so glad Ade got his two goals, hopefully that's the start of another run where he can bang more in. We switched off for the first goal in particular, but overall we thoroughly deserved that win, and we played bloody well! Well done to all the players and coaching staff. Cracking result.

I fancied us to win this by a goal, and it was good to get the win, and to score more than one goal for the first time in two months. The team pushed up much more to support attacks, just like we had done in our great start to the season, and a really good all round performance. Good communication on the pitch. Havant have got professional fouls down to a fine art, constantly bringing our players down when we attacked, just like they had done last time we played them, so it was great getting three goals. With 3W 2D and 3L in our last 8 games maybe we are turning the corner, and getting back to our earlier standards, as the players learn how to respond positively when things go against them.
Great to get through a tough cup game. Started well and despite being sloppy on the goals overall we were well worth the win. Our discipline was good today which brings me on to the ref. They put in some challenges well worthy of a yellow based on previous games. In a way I liked todays ref as he let it flow but if things were consistent compared with last week at Concord then they should have had 4 or 5 booked. So frustrating. Todays ref last week would have seen 11 v 11. Justifiably. Thought Barnes came in and did really well for Cox despite not playing lately. hoping for a good draw!
Think four at the back has been the way forward.
Just a shame Feeney had a stubborn streak and fan pressure made him bite the bullet.
Good result, worked well as a team and got the result.
Shame about the goal for H&W at the end of first half.
Could have folded at 2-2, but fair play, banged on and got winner.
Hearing that Welling will be demoted from play offs (should they make them) due to park end terrace.
Speaking of that terrace, is it dog walkers only?
Very happy travelling home, which is always nice.
Onwards and upwards.
Wallop.

Thought overall the ref was very good, however, certainly a couple of clear yellows should have been given today.
Where were the H&W fans today. Xmas shopping in November. I think I saw maybe 10. Considering theyre doing so well I would of thought they would have had a much better following. Lightweights.
PS Cameron Andrews was top whatits when he came on today. That fella will go far. Well played CA.

Nope....beatable sides at home please...would rather miss all National Prem sides for as long as possible
What can be classed as a beatable side in cup games I wonder. I am sure The 7 National South teams who got knocked out by lower leagues felt they were going in to win. Although I do agree Mark avoiding the big boys for a while could be a bonus.

11 out of the 24 teams in our division got knocked out yesterday, so our really competitive performance beating a team that hadn't lost away this season is great news. I am also pleased for the players, results over the last couple of months have been rocky, compared to our start, so I had a quick word of encouragement for one of our players before kick off, and he told me they are all doing their best. Good their hard work was rewarded in this game.
Three of our next five games are at home against lower teams, so as long as the team remembers to do the basics of pushing up to support attacks, closing down quickly, and clearing with more accuracy, I fancy our chances, because as I mentioned to the player, we have all the pieces of the jigsaw, ie already got a really good squad. After too many years of change it would be great to have the core of players together for the next years, not just this season, as there has been a lot of individual improvement in our players, Taylor, Ade, Chi, Aaron among others, and looking into the most successful teams, long term settled sides is usually the secret to the success. Favourite image of the match is the away fans behind the goal, literally two men and a dog!
