An interesting game, we were a mix of first team and younger players so not a regular settled side, but all the players knitted together well and created a Welling United performance.

I was really interested to watch Cameron, as I hadn't really paid too much attention to him before, so had a good look at him in this match to see what he is about. I think there must have been two Camerons on the pitch, as he would appear in one side of the pitch, then immediately appear on the other side. He is really lively and creative all over the pitch, happy to spread the ball around to make openings, and it will be great to follow his development.

Jay Simpson is getting his touch back after a quiet time in football, so also was creative with his passes.

Great to see much more precise passing rather than the widely disliked long ball, this switch has given us tons more possession, which is why our results and scoring have improved since we dropped the long ball approach, as we have the ball more now, so are now more likely to score, opponents have the ball less, so are now less likely to score. And great to see us in this match playing again to our strength of playing down the wings.

A good run out for some of the young lads and fringe players last night.

After the first twenty minutes I thought it was going to be a cricket score but we let them back into it and Sittingbourne deserved a draw by the end of the evening. Papadopolous was the big threat in the first half and they changed their full backs very early to deal with his threat. Nice to see Kassarate back on the pitch as he's been one of our better players for me this season. Howard also played well for me in a few different roles but the two centre backs looked a little suspect at times.

It's clearly a big jump from youth to senior football and that showed at times last night. Andrews is clearly going to be some player but last night I thought he tried too hard at times when a simple ball would have been the better option..??

On to the next round and hopefully a good draw and chance of further progress.

.
