Clubs back Spurs replay

From tonights Fiver email (Guardian)

As the Fiver was going to press, it emerged that Spurs have asked the Premier League to order their game against West Ham to be replayed after a number of their players were struck down with food poisoning hours before kick-off. A statement on the Spurs website revealed the club "now have confirmation from a majority of Premier League clubs that they would support a replay and in similar circumstances would expect the game to have been postponed."

However a Premier League spokesman insisted that "Tottenham fulfilled their fixture and as far as the Premier League is concerned the result stands. However, the Premier League board will convene and discuss the contents of Tottenham's letter."
