After hearing the Bath manager say the pitch on Saturday was 'unplayable' I tried to remember the game from a Madri haze. The pitch was very dry, sandy and bobbly, with the dug out side being a real mess. Erith have a game on Tuesday and there's a few training sessions, so by Saturday it'll be a right mess. I assume we've run out of money to keep the pitch tip top, but with the amount of use a 3g / 4g is sorely needed.

I agree and only 3/4 of a million pound (minimum).
Perhaps the council will bung a tenner in.
As an aside, it would certainly generate revenue, maybe attract the attention of professional sides who stay at the Marriott.
Massive sour grapes from the Bath manager. Blaming the 'unplayable' Welling pitch and 'aerial bombardment' and reckons Bath should have been 3-0 up at half time. Should accept they lost to the better team on the day.
The Bath manager is a serial excuse maker. What would he have made of days when footballers could play on any surface? I cannot find anything in the laws that says 'not allowed above head height' when playing against Bath. As for being 3-0 up at half time, how could they be when they did not have a single shot on target until after we had gone one up with eight minutes to go?

Questionable if we were the better team (It don't matter anyway as we won) That said definitely sour grapes on his behalf.
