I went to this to get an idea of how women's' football is, as I've never been to a women's match before, and also to get an idea of how these games could be to watch as a possible replacement of the Toxic Twins team.
It was a really good competitive game, I really liked the quality of our number 8 and 11, and number 3 scored from a free kick and also hit the bar from a free kick, so also had quality, but all the players really went for it and looked comfortable playing, and Keith Boanas has got a really good competitive team together. From a conversation before the match with one of the coaching team I gather we were missing some of our regular players, if so we still put in a really sound performance beating the team that started off as top of the table.
It was a really nice family crowd, and just like Friday's U23 game, so nice to see a game with none of the self indulgent crappy behaviour that undermined so much of the first team's season.
Congratulations to all concerned in bringing happiness , enjoyment, and pleasure back to Park View Road. Lets hope the women's team progress and have a successful future and good luck for next season.
