Personally I'm really looking forward to this game and getting back to PVR. Really excited to see the trialists and hopefully there's a few hidden gems! Danny Bloor's interviews have been night and day compared to last seasons and I would love to see some consistency, by having a manager in place for a number of years.
As some have mentioned its almost ten years since my brother Adam passed away, and tomorrow there will be a minutes applause on the 25th minute of the game in his memory.

I never met your brother Dean but I have heard many speak very highly of him, so I certainly will be clapping along with everyone else. All the best to you and your family during this anniversary
There will be a number of supporters today who first started coming within the last ten years. For those who never met him, you missed out on a real character, a one-off, and a lovely lovely person.
A great afternoon, some good football and a respectable result against a very good Charlton team. Many thanks to them for fielding thei, mainly, 1st team squad.
Some promising players in the Welling team(s), a great start to a what could be a promising season.
what a difference in attitude from the manager makes.
Just kidding. We had lost this fixture 0 - 3 the last two times we played it, and the background of Danny coming in with hardly any time to prepare or have a squad made it an unpromising background. But actually there were lots of positives, we matched them for fitness which reflects so well on Danny and our players. The big stand out for me is it showed how Danny wants us to play, attractive football, keeping the ball on the floor, passing to feet, with none of the moronic route A aimless long ball football we suffered last season.
It felt a bit "something old, something new, something borrowed something red" as Cameron, Antony, Sadique, Kyrell and Taofiq played, and fear not, Taylor Curran warmed up, so there is some continuity from last season, with the new signings fitting in well. Charlton currently play 3 divisions higher than us, and their clinical build ups and finishing for their goals exposed the lack of game time in our defence, and our lack of marking in the area, but overall lots of good things can be taken from this game, it was a big tough test, Danny will have learned a lot about the players from it.

Lost 4-0 if anyone was looking for the result. 2765 in attendance for a sell out. Thought the ground held 4K?
I do believe we have had capacity reduced at park end. Just needs some crush barriers I think. We will need to install in January ready for when we host Liverpool later on in the semi final of the FA Cup (I can dream)
The attendance today looked from my vantage point reasonably comfortable for people to walk around to get to facilities etc.

Forget the result as pre season is about fitness and trying formations etc, really good day yesterday with a big crowd. The bars were busy as was the catering facilities, i spoke to a lot of people yesterday and everyone was delighted to be back and the feel good factor was definitely there to see. Spoke to Danny Bloor and he was delighted with the reception he got from the fans. Must pay tribute to David in the shop and our brilliant 50/50 ticket sellers who looked really busy. Love the new home kit and be good to hopefully see plenty of people wearing the shirts when they are available. Finally it was great to see everyone engaging in the tribute to Adam Shulver, I was with Adam's family having drinks after the game and despite the fact I've got the worse hangover ever I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday, great stuff
