Pre season Cray Wanderers away

Another pre-season game with the teams changing completely at half time, which is fair enough as Danny needs to see as many players as possible in the few weeks before the start of the season, and then a squad will emerge, so the pre-season results are less important than the individual performances.

The first half had our main players, and we had some decent creativity knocking decent crosses into the box. Early days yet, but it feels a bit hard to work out where our goals are going to come from, a worry no one yet standing out as a striker, and for the second game in a row our striker was a bit isolated, but hopefully as understandings develop between the players that will improve. We keep conceding goals from unmarked players, but that can be worked on.

Crossley Lema was again the standout new player for me, really good, Antony was creative in midfield and  sharpened a lot since last season It would be interesting to see him tried in a friendly as an out and out striker, as he had a great preseason last year playing in an attacking role before being moved back to midfield, so he has already shown he can do well up front. And Tom Derry reminded us in the second half of lots of things about his game!
