Well, an undeserved loss but penalty 'could' have changed the game. We are still bottom [only due to being lower in the alphabet]. Onto the next game but I don't know how much more it will take. We can't seem to find the net. Next away game awaits...

Should never have let that break happen for the winner. Someone should have took one for the team. Please dont thank/mention the fans in the post match interview Danny as I couldnt give a F*88

Disgusting scene when the winning goal was scored. A chelmsford fan jumped over their own fan who was in a wheelchair. I was told lady was knocked from chair but I understand the ambulance people attended.
Stewards and turnstile operators seemed in short supply tonight. Unless my glasses were fogged up I only saw 2 stewards and the gateman plus only 2 turnstiles open. People still coming in after kick off. Very bad planning by club. Once again unacceptable queue at burger bar that we were told would be regulated by barriers.

Should of been 2 0 up at ht but then if you don't take your chances it's gonna happen. Adom needs to start in place of wood, completely agree with above comments regarding him and although he played well I think isiaki should of started instead of kamara.
The right back I think less said the better.
They haven't changed much, still absolute ****s.
No idea how it works but the ref although wasn't bad has missed a few things, namely their 18 who was sent off running on the pitch when they scored and their keeper holding down olomewewe punching him in the back a few times. We've got to be smarter there too ,they didn't have a sub keeper, if he stays down and makes a meal of it the refs got to look at it and at least ask the lino.
Always said last season with Feeney, I wouldnt mind so much if we lose as long as we try and give everything which we didn't do with him.
You could see it hurt them tonight, they gave everything and it just wasn't enough in the end which is gonna happen sometimes, the wins coming and I think we'll kick on quite a bit when it does.
Hello, I was the fan that got jumped by the chelmsford fans. I am in fact a welling fan however couldnt gain access to the welling side as its not wheelchair accessible. I have a small needle fitted at the back of my arm which was ripped out and I have an injury to my ribs, head and a cut side. I am ok just shaken up. thank you to the paramedics for acting so quickly

My apologies I was told you were from Chelmsford. I do hope youre ok. I understand we used to have wheelchair spaces next to what is now the outside bar. Ive never seen them used in 20 years. I will make some enquiries tomorrow when Im at the ground.

Disappointing in the final third tonight. Shameful scenes at the end by a few Chelmsford fans, rather amusing to see them **** themselves when confronted outside.
Well...Paris...please make an official complaint to Chelmsford and Welling....this is totally unaceptable and must be dealt with
Glad you are ok
Echo this, as a club we need to be more organised with stewards as half the time they are stood in the corner having a chat. Unfortunately until the ground ever changes that end will never be wheelchair user friendly but maybe a marked area or safe area as it were for wheelchair users to enjoy the game from could be looked at being improved in the short term.
Chelmsford fans and as a club really need to be under some sort of scrutiny, I.e if the bench hadn't gone running over there does that happen?
Hope you feel better and it doesn't in any way put you off coming.
Fk me, ok, one of those ok let's go posts. Boring sods who can't handle long posts piss off now.
Everyone else, I watched the Saturday Hemel highlights a second time, to look beyond the crappy refereeing, and on second view realised in our second game with this new team we had 8 clear shots on goal, so were much more creative than the score due to the ref suggests. It was much better than I had realised at the time.
Onto tonight's Chelmsford game, wow, they moved the ball around so quickly, they reminded me of Ebbsfleet last season. Yet we matched them. In this early season before form settles down it is hard to know what results mean, but if Chelmsford (now third) carry on like this they will get a play off spot, so to match that sort of team as we did today was a seriously good performance, and we may only realise that in due course.
David Kamara played really well, best performance from one of our attacking players so far this season. He's only 17, so blimey, 2 years ago he was still playing under 15. He is full of confidence with penalties, after scoring loads of penalties, so who knows why Will Wood took the penalty.
Our number 24 in defence was fab.
We are better than scores suggest, it is all ifs and buts, but if we had had a ref against Hemel who knew the rules of football we would have won 1 - 0. And if we had scored the penalty today we would have drawn 2 - 2 against a team who look nailed on to be play off contenders. And 4 points would put us comfortably midtable 9th - 15th. Instead we are on 0 points from 3 games, but the 16th team are only 3 points ahead of us, so we can recover lost ground.
That second half was so exciting, this time it went against us, other times we will win or draw.
The results arent reflecting the performances just now.
They were by far the best team we have played so far, I know knowledgeable posters here knew in advance how difficult this game was, but we didnt do anything wrong, they just edged a very close competitive match, and most other teams will lose against them.

The two yellow cards for Kassarte looked ridiculous to me, even worse than the red card on Saturday. The red for the Chelmsford guy was also harsh but he had to give it after sending Kassarate off.
Very disappointing to lose in the way we did. We clearly need a big man up top to hold the ball up. But that is expensive and the club no longer has a sugar daddy to write cheques. What was the point of him ever getting involved? Peter Taylor may well have kept us up. If not we would have gone down with a hungry young team with pride. Instead we were 'sold the dream' of a new start. It was all bollocks, all built on sand. The club must have lost at least £100k last year.
I hope Paris is OK. This incident needs investigation so that it never happens again.
I got to the ground at 7pm and was quite surprised to find a long queue at the burger van. The £10 for a beer, burger and chips is very good value and the food was delicious. However the two people who work there clearly need more help as the wait times aren't fit for purpose.

Chelmsford Fan here coming in peace ,,First of all Im glad to hear your alright and you werent badly hurt ,,, i think in the pure emotion of the hole thing it was a pure accident and people wanting to celebrate it did just get a bit OTP,
No bad intentions were made and the fans wouldnt go out of their way to hurt anyone and after the incident a lot of City fans did go and check on her and at full time as well.
As for the game think we can both agree the Ref had an absolute shocker for both sides but it did lead for an entertaining game for the neutral at least
Good luck for the reminder of the season and see you in the reverse fixture
Lachlan Byrd our 24 is with us on a short term contract, but he was outstanding, won every challenge, read the dangers so well, so I hope we can keep him longer term.
Firstly, I want to say I'm glad Paris wasn't seriously injured but sorry she got hurt at all. Welling United do need to make sure it never happens again. There does need to be a safe wheelchair user area because maybe this was a warning of what could happen. I was quite close to the incident as I was standing by the club shop with my dogs.
I accept the Chelmsford fans didn't intentionally want to hurt anyone and got swept up in the excitement of what is a passionate sport. They should have been more spaciously aware though. Most of the Chelmsford fans I spoke to were decent people and very friendly. There was a younger element who were very disrespectful to Welling United football club and our supporters at the end. That is youth for you, they need to learn to win or lose with good grace. Their actions were unnecessary. The fact that Paris could have been seriously hurt overshadows any football match. Everyone's health and safety is more important than any football match.
On to the game. Welling have improved with every match and yesterday was a very good game against a very good team who will be there or thereabouts at the business end of the season. David Kamara was our MOTM. Perhaps he didn't take the penalty because he was the fouled player. It was a poor penalty but overall I like Will Wood I think he plays with determination and spirit. Yes, the team played well and have been unlucky in the last couple of games but we aren't taking our chances and we do need to get a result soon because otherwise there is a danger we might get cut adrift at the bottom of the division. Roll on Taunton Town
Verdict: Expected defeat but played well against one of the better teams in NLS

Glad to read that the young lady wasn't hurt at the end but we need, as a club, to avoid any kind of repeat of this situation.
Gutted to lose to such a late goal but disagree with the manager on not getting the rub of the green. In fact I think we got most of the controversial decisions actually go in our favour last night.
Our penalty definitely falls in the "soft" category (no idea why Kamara didn't take it)
There was a definite foul on their lad in the build up to the equaliser.
They had a very good shout for a penalty with a late handball not given.
As others have said we should have taken the point and moved on. To get a second yellow card for dissent was a ridiculous situation and I hope this gets addressed better than it did last season....Still a few square pegs in round holes for me and still a worry that we are still short physically as it felt like they had 12 players and we only had 8 for that injury time period..??
As I have said in previous posts I think there will be more tinkering with personnel over the next few weeks but we need to stick with them, support them and support the manager. Some supporters seem to have very short memories...
I agree, it would be nice to have a wheelchair space as i have no choice but to sit directly on the side of the pitch. the adrenaline kicked in yesterday but Went to A&E this morning for an xray. turns out I have two broken ribs and a fracture to my wrist, in a cast for 6-8 weeks. Thank you to the people who asked if Im ok and helped me yesterday.
