Let's forget about Boring Wood and the FA Cup and get right behind the team today. We really need 3 points to get out of the relegation zone.

Again, are the better side. Should have taken our chances to go in 2-0 at HT. Set pieces from Vaughan need to start reaching the right areas. COYW

IMO thats the worst Ive seen us play this season. Too many long balls from back to front for my liking. P**s poor referee for both sides. Didnt enjoy that game at all. Lets hope Boredom wood watched us today coz we werent at our best.

A disappointing result after a superb goal from Bramble for 2-1, I don't know where the league are getting these referee's from, you know his bad when BOTH sets of supporters are chanting "you don't know what your doing" . Regrettably in our last 5 matches we have conceded 2 goals, hopefully a coincidence rather than a trend.

We should have won that, but didn't deserve to. We simply can't hang on to a coat tail let alone a lead. 2nd half we put ourselves under way too much unnessesary pressure, especially playing out from the back in the way we do. Ref killed the game too. TJs goal was a beauty. Lively sub contribution from Enoch. I do like this team and look forward to seeing it click again soon.

Thought our opener was one of those if only its dropped in our favour type of goals.
Their equaliser was like the parting of the seas, the bloke basically hit it low into the middle of the wall.
Second half, looked very average.
Fortunate draw in my opinion.
That young lad Alex up front, really thought he had something pre season.
Brave enough to hold my hands up and admit, he aint

To get a point off Farnborough and the ref was a point gained.  Didn't play well second half but a point on the board I suppose.

If I see another long throw in I swear I will gouge my eyes out. Unbelievably boring especially doing it from practically the half way line. I couldnt watch that week after week.

Disappointing having taken the lead so late not to hold on but the ball by Taylor Maloney for the equaliser was the pass of the game. Even then we might have won it but for a fantastic save by their keeper at the death. We need to stop conceding soft goals as we did at D*******, Gosport and the first one today - it's going to be tough to score three to win every week...

I am glad I don't have to watch Farnborough every week. Their skipper must be knackered having to jog backwards and forwards 50 times a game to take a throw in although, to be fair, we dealt with that threat pretty well. However we did get drawn into their game a little and played too long at times. The turning point for me was the lack of a second yellow for their number 22 midway through the second half. The referee rightly booked players from both sides for cynical fouls all afternoon yet, on this occasion, he chose to lecture the player and his skipper but not issue a card...?! They knew they had got away with one and subbed the sub a few minutes later.

Finally a shout out to Jamie the groundsman. Five games in seven days this week yet the pitch still played pretty well. I know how hard he has worked this week so kudos to him.

On to Borehamwood next week....Up the Wings!

My take is the cup replay we played on Wednesday caught up with us today as the match went on, as we took the lead twice, but weren't able to hold on to either lead, and by the end we were hanging on for the draw. Bearing in mind we played 45 minutes a player short in one of our cup games the second half today was when playing 3 games in 8 days finally caught up with us. We have a week to rest and recover until our next game against Boreham Wood, and then we will be sharper for the whole match. Farnborough were mid table, but apart from the last few minutes we matched them everywhere, and all in all a draw is ok.

Danny started the same team that started on Wednesday, and the reward of putting out a settled side now he knows his best 11 have shown in our recent results, as we have only lost 2 of our last 10, so will slowly start climbing the table.

In a recent game several of our players sprinted to complain to Crossley about his play, but that is cool, it shows just how our players are driven not to lose, and I like how determined we are, bouncing back if falling behind, attacking and defending as a team now.

I thought we played well in the first half but conceded a soft equaliser right at the end of the 1st half. 2nd half I thought we were poor. If only the shot that cannoned off the crossbar had gone in. I did think in the end getting a draw was a good result as we played Farnborough and the referee who was a cheat in my opinion and so biased towards them. Please don't come back. I enjoyed TJ Brambles goal. Brilliantly executed finish. Pity we didn't hang on for the win. Reminded me of Eastbourne Borough away. We edged the game slightly and deserved to win but couldn't quite get over the line.

Verdict: Playing nice football and surely the results will come. Need to turn performances into points.

Danny Bloor said that it was not his place to comment on how Spencer Day's teams play. One manager has class, the other does not, and never has.

It must be so easy to coach this Farnborough team. Get into the opposition half. Win a throw in. Throw the ball into the opposition penalty box from every angle. Simples!

And, defensively, if anyone attacks, trip them.

Apparently Mark it was all simulated. They never once tripped one of our players.

So the five (should have been more) that they collected for fouls were all Welling dives, were they?

As I am still on this massive learning curve abut us and the football world we play in, I had a look at the Farnborough manager's wikipedia entry to see his credentials to accuse us of diving, as I don't mind admitting Tristan has picked up the mantle from Ade of the strong striker who keeps falling down and claiming a free kick that the refs quite rightly ignore as they know Ade/ Tristan are big boys who wouldn't be knocked over by the challenge they are claiming free kicks for, so would have been better off staying on their feet. Having read that wikipedia entry, fk me, I would not automaticly believe everyting that guy says, he is  proven inaccurate in what he ckaims, repeatedly done for serial financial issues. He is just about to have the anniversary of his 12th season as Farnborough manager, and after 12 years if that match yesterday is what he is all about as a manager let us all thank our lucky stars we are not Farnborough fans. His real name is Spencer Trehewy, some may speculate he possibly changed it to Day to try to hide from his proven financial misdemeanours. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spencer_Trethewy

It was nice to see our ex players Sid Nelson and Taylor Maloney play against us. I liked Taylor, and miss him in our team, as he scored from spot kicks, did assists, scored goals, and had a chat with him last season that made me realise the damage someone whose name is banned here did to the team morale, as Taylor told me "we are where we are because we are inconsistent", clearly repeating what he had been told many times, and it was just sad to see how the unnameable someone had made a whole Welling team get demoralised by being brainwashed into feeling like inferior failures, and the long term damage he did to us, which is why so few wanted another season with us. Taylor remembered me from last season, so before the kick off I jokingly shouted out to Taylor, "Taylor, have a quiet game", as it is sods law ex player come back and score against their old team, but fair play to Taylor, he carried out the request perfectly!

Our guys arent robots, the heavy schedule caught up with us yesterday, which is why their best bits came at the end of both halves, but it was nice to see after I posted my comment yesterday Danny in his post match interview had also seen the cup games had caught up with us, and has given the guys time off to recharge.

So onto Boreham Wood. Apart from the sleepwalking freakish first half against Truro all season long no one has outplayed us, so there is no reason to suggest Boreham Wood can outplay us. I am not going to say we will make Wembley, but next Saturday I'll be there as we have a great chance to make the first round for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

Not the greatest performance by any means yesterday but still better than the majority of last season. There was only one team trying to play a game yesterday and it certainly wasn't Farnborough, thier tactics was just kicking, shirt pulling and man handling. Yes I know we rode our luck at the back, especially in the second half but we had chances to and was unfortunate to hit the woodwork twice I believe. Jephte and Enoch (when he came on) was the main targets to be "taken out" and im surprised there wasn't a serious injury to either of them. At one stage it ended up with language and hand gestures between both benches to which in my frustration I got involved with and had to be sensibly told to calm down. I thought Danny was incredibly dignified in his post match interview when asked about the Referee, in my opinion he was a disgrace and completely lost the game. Someone could have been seriously hurt out there and he should have stamped his authority but didn't. Gutted we couldn't hold on for the three point's as we need to start climbing up the league, but a point is better than none. On to the cup and next week's trip to the (as people have told me) ever so accommodating Boreham Wood

Considering we played poorly and the ref had a shocker, I see it as a point gained. However, we do need to start turning our performances into wins, which Im confident we will.

Onto Borehamwood next week!!
