Highlights as saying that Ade has had three offers to go to other clubs but wont go sideways. Two of these still have managers in place. State that he is still ambitious, which means that sooner or later we will lose him. Also mentions that James Pinnock looking to sign one year deal this week.
WELLING manager Adrian Pennock has rejected three job offers this summer to remain at the club.
Pennock, who has turned around fortunes at Welling during his 17-month spell at the helm, has vowed not to take a sideways step.
And he admitted that he is delighted with the progress now being made off the field.
"There have been clubs contacting me but two of them already had managers so I found that out of order," said Pennock. "Don’t get me wrong, I’m still ambitious but I can see all the hard work going on at Welling and it’s backed my judgement.
"I won’t take a sideways step and the supporters have been fantastic."
Pennock added: "All credit to the owners as well. I’ve had some harsh words to say but they are doing all they can to back me."
Yes I was a bit suprised that we wanted to keep him for a further year. Started well, got injured and never really recovered. Dont know what next season will reveal but it will hvae to be something, so lets hope he proves us wrong. Assuming at the moment that Che & Keds stay I dont know where he will play.
Just bumped into Jamie Day outside blockbusters, nice bloke and good family man.
I'm surprised we are keeping JP but Ade obviously thinks he has something to offer and that is the important view. He had a pretty good track record prior to coming to PVR and prior to his injury and for a few matches immediately after his return he was a regular starter. There does seem to be a link between Bods establishing himself as a regular starter and Pins relegation to the bench - it could be a coincidence but I think not.
To clarify the point about Booth, the article implies that Ade had spoken to him and that on purely football terms he was willing to return but we could not match the money offered by Lewes - reputed to be £425+ and possibly a signing on fee and appearance money. Sound decision by us in my opinion, that's silly money for a part timer at our level. The bigger question is why hasn't a 20+ goals a season at Conference South level for the past two seasons not been picked up by a National Conference side.

Very good point Bruno, and deep down that's always the point that matters. I think most of us will agree that Ade has done a fantastic job, and whilst we're behind him, his decisions are what count and I totally respect that.
