In more sad news for the club this week...

Former player Wayne Brown has passed away. Very sad news.

Such sad news. He can only have been in his early 50s. Wayne was such a lovely guy, a real gentle giant.

Was also a very talented cricketer.

My thoughts are with his family.

This is such sad news. Wayne was such a great defender for us during the 90s. Scored some key goals for us too.

He was an absolute hero back in the 90s for us. Tough as old boots, no nonsense, all action and as Matty said above scored some vital goals. Top player and top fella and how very very tragic just a few days on from Barries passing.

An awful week for Welling United to lose two people who were Best in Class

This is devastating news. He was so excited when his son joined the club as Wayne had a real affinity for Welling United. It was a shame for him that it didn't work out. This is two awful bombshells in three days.
