Does anyone see any advantage of buying pre-match tickets, or POTD?
I get that a small percentage goes to charity, but assume it will be a general scrum down regardless.
Will the side gate be open with a scanning facility, or is this expecting too much?

3-0. Bottom line is they took the three clear cut chances they had. All good finishes. No one could say we were outplayed by them but sticking the ball in the net is what its all about. We dont do that nearly enough unfortunately.

Once we were chasing the game, there was only going to be one winner.
This, coupled with Wednesday nights game should give Rod a good understanding of what he has to work with.
Papadopolus certainly put himself in the shop window.

I like Paps. He has been one of our best players over this season. I just wish he could add more goals to his game.

I thought they were more clinical in front of goal, others here saw that too. But it's no surprise, they are full time, 40 places above us in the league system, may well be a League team next season if winning the play off. A couple of their goals came as they played just that bit quicker than we are used to playing against. But I was impressed, we had chances against a higher team, we matched them for fitness.

The 2 cup defeats are handy in giving Rod a chance to look at our players without the results damaging our league position. And those cup games meant our NLS rivals have played some of their games in hand, mostly lose them, so we can now look at the table and see a more level accurate view.

I was pleased to see Antony in attack, as I kicked myself for missing him in attack in the Hemel game. So yesterday was the chance to see how he is there. I think he did fine, Adam had 1 shot in 70 minutes, Antony had a shot in just 20 odd minutes in attack. Adam plays so deep he usually is a long way back from goal and has a defender in front of him he would have to beat to get a shot. I liked Antony's positioning much more, he played much further forward, more on the shoulder of the last defender, so if we had just knocked the ball in front of him he would just have had the keeper to beat.

I think pretty much you guys have said it all. We had decent game against a much better team who were naturally fitter and faster. We just never looked like scoring.

Verdict: Maybe being out of all the cup competitions will prove a blessing in disguise. Always disappointing though.

PS: Nice to meet you Jimmie and put a face to a name

Yet again another opportunity wasted to make money for the club by not opening the turnstiles until 1.30. The pub next to the ground must love it when Welling play at home!!

Most Welling fans would prefer to be in the Guy anyway at the moment.

The way the club is at present turnstiles could open at 11.00 and fans would still use the Guy and Doorhinge.

I meant open the turnstiles for the away fans when we know that they are going to bring a lot of fans to the ground. I also know that there was a lot of Barnet fans who tried to get into the ground at around 12.30 to get a drink and watch the football on the TV. So I was told by one of the security people.
