Great point, 4 points out of these last 2 games weren't very expected. Roll on Tuesday.

Good result in the end. A shame to let one in 60 seconds later - but could have been a different story if we went in half time with a 1-0 lead and St Alban's got momentum getting an equaliser in the 2nd half.

Onto Truro which a 3 points is much more of a value.

Great support, and always enjoy this away fixture.
They pretty much capture exactly what a NLS game requires for maximum revenue/enjoyment.

Suprised Pap never got a run in front of the new bloke.

Then again, who am I to judge.

Great day. Great result. Bloody sure we should have had a penalty. Reese Grant dragged down in the box. Overall we deserved the point. St Albans are a very good side. They are where they are for a reason. They rarely get beaten at home. Absolutely brilliant numbers there today. Love this club. COYW

Thoroughly deserved the point today. We were denied a clear penalty at 1-1, where the vast majority of the 1700 crowd thought the ref would surely point to the spot. Norfolk in chance!!

What a brilliant turnout from our supporters. Rod Stringer is doing a fantastic job & has brought in some decent players. They are fighting for the cause & we will back them all the way to Slough.

If the Wings are United...

My favourite away ground and a place I always enjoy going. This season we got a decent result. I would take the draw against another good side but this time away from home. I am not getting carried away because I realise we still have a lot to do but because we keep gaining points and chipping away we might have a chance of staying up. 6 matches unbeaten, it's been awhile seen that last happened. What I like is we no longer have a soft underbelly. We fight for everything, we are well organised now, well coached and battle. No longer a soft touch and we go in to each match with a chance. I have confidence now that we a good football manager who knows what he is doing, we might see National League South football next season.

Verdict: With Rod Stringer at the helm we have a chance of staying up.

St Albans City 1-1 Welling United | Kent Sports News

Although still laid up, and unable to attend, I've written this off the back off Nigel's excellent commentary plus a few comments texted to me.

Hopefully, I'll be back on Tuesday.

I laughed during the commentary, there was Nigel apologising about Rod's language, and then Nigel in commentary says something along the lines of Rod giving directions from the side of the bitch!

St Albans have much longer highlights. It is so good we play with 2 up front even away from home against much higher teams, as all that previous football of one up front even against lowest teams was a big part of our poor league position, we were too easy to defend against, as we had so little in attack.

My thoughts on the game... I thought we were very organised at the back and was good value for a point. We look like a different team with Grant and Fish up top and they were threatening going forwards throughout the game. Good following of Welling there too 150-200 ish which is always good to see.
