Thank fk for that. Really needed to see this. Watching Welling Utd under Rod and Kevin's management has been the best since the heavily financed Steve King era. His team reminds me of a Jamie Day team. We can only pray that Rod can build a team who will be close to the team of 2011/12/13 seasons
PS. Well done Howard Prosser for making this happen.

The timing of this is strategically good too. More incentive for Rod & Kev to finish the job strong, any players wanting to stay have 4 games to set their stall out. Rod's burner phone has probably already become a little warm in the last 24 hours. It's a nice thought that we might have a skeleton of a team for preseason rather than completely starting again.
When I saw the thread title my heart sank and I thought, "oh no, Rod's going".
So it's great I'd guessed wrong, and great news Rod is back next season. It's been a fascinating season, one of my all time favourite football seasons to watch, as there have been all these unexpected dramatic ups and downs, the puzzling Danny stuff and trying to work out why it wasn't happening for him, and then Rod coming in and successfully transforming us.
I think the greatest difference is Rod is much more demanding than Danny and the other managers I've seen here, in a constructive way, really pushing the players and helping them understand what they need to do to improve and succeed.
Another massive benefit of this decision is it means Rod has a pre season to get ready for next season, unlike the mess Danny had of coming in just a few weeks before the start of the season, and the resulting poor start to the current season. We will definitely need new players, so great he has time to assemble them, as since he has been here he has done a great job at quickly bringing in new players that have improved us, and improving the players already with us, so really exciting to think what he can do now he has more time over the summer to build his team.
