That's ruined Erith's cunning plan to kick off two hours before we kicked off!
It looks like Nigel has recovered from the joy of doing the match announcements at the Orient game and having 7 (SEVEN) Orient subs coming on all at the same time! Easy way for Nigel to start the pre-season!

Oh God.. tell me about it..I was like "what on earth is going on here".!!!
Fan response to our 5 - 0 win has been muted, but it was a sound performance and result worth appreciation. Last season I started threads on some psfs games as no one seemed to think games that relevant, but actually they're a really important part of the jigsaw that makes up a whole season. Last season for example pre-season we looked sound enough, creating chances but never looked likely to actually put them away, so one wondered where our goals were going to come from, and that story carried on for the rest of Danny's time with us, as he built a team with only 2 retained players.
This pre-season is a very different story, Rod's shown faith in and retained lots of the players that only lost 2 out of 18 games for him last season, and that's already paying benefits, we create lots of opportunities AND put them away this pre-season. It is clear Rod and Kevin have a very clear idea of how we should play, the great thing is guys from last season now already get that. I expected us to lose 0 - 2 or 0 - 3 against Orient, so our 1 - 1 draw showed me (yet again) never underestimate Welling. On the basis of this game it looks like Erith may struggle this season, but they've plenty of time to improve. We already look promising.
The problem with psfs is there can be so many trailists our team shows little relation to our actual league squad, so can be a bit meaningless apart from seeing if triallists are any good, but this season's games are full of confirmed Welling players, with just a few triallists and are really enjoyable and meaningful as a result. We have two National League psfs coming up, Ebbsfleet and Sutton, pleased how we have such challenging games to prepare for our NLS season.
