I just wanted to thank you all for your fantastic support last season. It was a season of many highs and lows, but was one which I massively enjoyed sharing with you. To finish it off the way we did with 2 losses in 18, and be voted your player of the season was a huge honour and something Im extremely grateful and proud of.
Ive come over from Aus to try to challenge myself to play at the highest level I can, so, as some of you will know, Ive signed with Aldershot for the coming season.
Ill always follow and support the Wings and wish the club all the best for the season ahead!
All the best Lachie, big thanks for all you done last season, absolute fantastic for us. Will be watching your progress and good luck with the shots this season. Always welcome at Welling

Although it was a challenging season last term, when players move on to full time football, it can be considered to be a success. Lachie going to Aldershot Town has followed David Kamara to Peterborough United and Antony Papadopoulos to Crawley Town. All the managers and coaches under whom they have played for Welling can take some credit and I hope that all three flourish and continue to progress.
Hi Lachie, I never spoke with you at a game, but just wanted to say I never doubted we would avoid relegation as we had such a positive never say die spirit, unlike earlier seasons where we walked out already looking as though we had resigned ourselves to defeat before kick off. You all went out each game with real intent and enthusiasm. Now if one is top of the table or on a great cup run it is easy to have that positive spirit, but we were bottom 4 relegation zone for 6 months so didnt have much apart from team spirit to support us. But our defence with you in it was a hidden strength, we rarely got hammered, and just about kept in touch with the teams above us, so once the much needed change of manager was made, it was a bad inherited situation, but not totally hopeless. And that is down to you and the players, you always kept us in with a chance. The fans understood what was going on, so weren't on the players' backs. Our great finish with Rod, just 2 defeats in 18 games, was pay off for the loyalty of all you guys, so thanks for keeping the faith and all the best for your playing future. Even if it has kangaroos and hats with corks on them (that made me smile to see at matches!) Classy to post your message Lachie.
In rather less words, thank you. The commitment and effort you put in for the Wings does you much credit and I hope you enjoy your playing time with the Shots as much as you seemed to enjoy playing for us!
