I see from the Kent on line site that we have missed out on Alan Tait - which that is a shame as he could have proved an ideal partner for Danny.
The thing that rankles a bit is that he appears to be going to (Eastbourne Boro) Langney Sports for more money!
Being near to E.B/Langney I hear a lot about how frugal they are in the local press, so whilst I trust Adie not to overspend on players I am also concerned that we may loose out on the calibre of player required to go 1 step further up the Pyramid. This could mean loosing out on the chance to retain Adie & Phil themselves, who so far have prooved to be the best managerial duo that we have had in about the past 15 years.(Even though I.N.Q. did have a top half finish in the Conference proper!)
I really hope that we can build on performances like the one against Weymouth at home & push for promotion next season as when you look at the likes of Histon & Eastleigh bigging it up it makes me wonder if we may end up drifting into mid table obscurity.
What do you fellas reckon might happen next season & who could any further targets for new players be?
P.S. Does any one know the latest on Bod?
P.P.S. Why did Knighty have to sign for the Frenchies I dont want to have to hate him as well as all the other Lilywhite S****.
There is no news on the Gills site about Bods and they have made some signings. Perhaps they will want to give him a few run outs in their pre season friendlies before they make a final decision or it could be he has decided to stay - well we can live in hopes can't we.
It is likely to be a bit quiet as Ade is away but if he hasn't been snapped up I think he may well go for Drury who was released by Gravesend.
With the quality of the core squad so far contracted I am optimistic that Ade and Phil will be able to attract further decent signings and that we can build on this years performance.
I fear that no matter what this will be the last season for Ade and Phil. Ade has had an excellent start to his managerial career and has as we know already been interest from at least 3 Clubs. If he has another good season despite the limited budget available to him he is bound to be a target for Conference and possibly League Clubs.
