Hello All. After 15 years as Welling Utd Club Photographer I've decided to retire towards the end of this season. I've arrived at this decision due to several reasons namely, failing eye-site, slower reactions, equipment replacement costs and creeping old age.
My yearly league insurance expires on 9th April and I will not be renewing it. My last game will be at home v Hornchurch on 5th April. I've really enjoyed taking pictures of great and not so great games during my tenure at the club. I'll miss it but not on a rain soaked Tuesday night, anywhere. Many thanks for following my pics in local papers, websites (including the clubs) and the matchday programme. I've been supporting the "Wings" since 1985 and, of course, will still be supporting them from the terraces in the future. Thanks for all your support over the years. Regards Man in a Green Coat.
I am sure every Wings fan would like to thank you Dave for everything over the past 15 years. You have brought to life games with your photos especially those away games that many of us cannot attend. On a personal note thanks for providing photos that WUSA has used from team photos through player photos and potm presentation to photos for magnets and beyond. Very best wishes for your lens retirement, and hopefully you can enjoy watching games for many more seasons without worrying about getting hit by a ball.

I can only repeat here what I have said to you privately, and that is that your pictures bring my waffle to life. I'm convinced that many people only open the links to my reports to look at your fantastic pictures.
Enjoy your pre match drinks with no worries about having to make it to half time!!
Thank you for all your hard work and commitment over the years. Having featured in many of these photos they bring some great memories that wouldn't be possible if you wasn't there.
Some outstanding photos over the years. Good to hear you will still be coming to games, Dave. Enjoy your retirement but we hope the green coat will still be on display.
Ah, Dr Robert. Hanging up the green coat after all these years. Have a long and happy retirement and hope it doesn't mean we'll be seeing any less of you at PVR. I remember the despicable treatment you received in the Dartford play-off final, when the League suddenly decided it wanted to bring in accreditation on the day to the joys of Championship year. All with nothing less than the professionalism and high standards everyone has come to expect from you.
Anyone else inheriting the cold stone ledge behind the Park End goal?
