Expect when contracts for players and other staff expire which should be soon.

Have heard rumours as to who it might be and if proven to be true, then it sounds wholly underwhelming to me, but I will reserve judgement until I hear it confirmed officially

What's absolutely clear is that whoever takes the job needs big cojones because there's one hell of a rebuild needed and fan apathy is at the highest I've known since my time supporting and we are about to play at our lowest level in decades

Sounds like a cheap, inexperienced management team. Worrying.

Christ the poor bloke isn't even in the job yet and people are moaning. I hope he's not reading this forum as he might reconsider taking the job anyway ..?! Give the bloke a chance for crying out loud!!

I don't remember a lot of us being convinced by the appointment of Jamie Day at the time and that didn't work out too bad did it...?!

Lets have a look at a couple of our former managers

Adrian Pennock  first time manager after playing career still down the A2

Jamie Day first time manager after playing career still at MK dons

Both proved their worth to the club and were fan favourites. If we are going down that road again then I welcome it. We dont just need players who are hungry but a management team who want to push the club and get us promoted. I dont want to see someone who has had 25 years in management coming to PVR bringing in hasbeen journeymen players who are just in it for a few bob before they retire. I am pretty sure club has had applications from a fair number of people interested in the job. I have trust in the new board and expect they have considered the decision at great length. I am looking forward to hearing who our new manager is and hearing his or her plans for the season ahead.

If the rumours are true it appears that the fella has played for a few big clubs under some very experienced managers. I presume he has all his coaching badges and hopefully he has the personality to handle the players. I agree with the references to JD and AP who both did well at Welling Utd during their first spells as managers. Lets be positive when it is eventually announced who he is. COYW

I'm absolutely delighted about the club's choice to appoint Lee Martin as our new manager! Bringing in someone with fresh ideas and plenty of energy feels like a fantastic move. Huge credit to Howard and the board for their bold decision to steer clear of the same old recycled managers we see at this level. Lee and his staff have the summer to put together a squad that can really compete, unlike last season. I'm so excited for the new campaign that I'm considering getting a season ticket for the first time. Come on, you Wings! #UpTheWings
