I'm gonna be very optimistic! Let's hope the season starts tomorrow....will be very tough but if we get nick a result then beat cray valley on Monday then things will look up

Should we pick up no more than a point in the next 72 hours it's quite clear it's gonna be a very long season!

Wone be at today's game but lets get behind the team and push for some important points on the road. A positive result will set the stage for a good turnout at our home game on Monday. Up the WIngs.

Was not at the game sadly due to the mental distance between Welling and Chichester, but really happy to see us win on the road for the first time in ages.

Seems we edged the 1st half, then fell back into our shell in the 2nd half before we somehow won it at the end despite all the pressure we were under.

Well done Wings. Lets back it up on Monday

Mental distance?
Thank god we got that 3 points.
The Wealdstone raider has a competitor.
What is it with these 4G pitches and the trajectory of the ball?
It just seems like they put too much of that black rubber crap on them.

i was unable to go and, in the interview, Olly asked Lee Martin about James Dyer playing out of position. Where was he playing? It was quite hard to work out the formation from the players in the starting lineu.

Great stuff, a very valuable 3 points.  Webpages.co.uk actually got the result wrong, so I contacted them by email and they sorted it and actually emailed me back, which was cool :)

Then I replied again to give the guy yet more work telling him about the Aveley result standing so they can fully update their website  :D

Great result, as I was worried we was losing our way in the second half. Need to back this up on Monday, which following Cray Valleys result is now a massive game. I thought the fans were fantastic yesterday, there was Welling supporters in all 4 sides of the ground

First things first, Chichester have got some right Wnker fans, I'm sure anyone who was at the game yesterday will know who I mean

anyway on the football, the first half was brilliant and looked a different side from the opening 3 games. I noticed in the 2nd half we looked a bit lost at times, I actually thought we'd go on to lose the game when Ruben went off injured but John U produced the magic to set up Cundle. If we can beat cray valley tomorrow then the season is back on track and maybe we can aim for the play offs

would like to see more body's through the door, squad feels short...would be good to have a couple more experienced heads

A much needed win.  Thought we started well but drifted out the game a bit, but responded well and finished strongly.  John Ufuah looks like he can play 180 minutes and still be going in injury time.  Dyer did a good job at left back, nice finishes by Cundle, Shakpoke, some good saves by Freddie, etc.  Still lots to work on with their goal coming from a loose ball that was pinging about. Just need to build on it and build some confidence as they are young and still learning. Another great turnout from the fans and the bar after was packed with Wings fans.

Lee Martin can't win. Some people moan about a revolving door policy because he released four players who weren't up to it in pre-season, and one more since the season started while other supporters want more through the door. Unfortunately, when you have a squad of nineteen, it only takes four to be injured to make it look short.

A much improved Welling yesterday and a thoroughly deserved victory. The first half performance alone was good enough for the three points as we were all over Chichester. Second half we let them back in but managed to get that all important winning goal.

Another fantastic turnout from the Welling faithful who were, as Nigel stated earlier, literally all around the ground making plenty of noise. Our boys know we are right behind them. Their reaction at the end said it all.

If the Wings are United...
