F*cking dissapointed with both our lumpy centre forward, and our calamitous goalkeeper.
Every club at this level needs a keeper who can both hold a ball and dominate their 6yd box
We have a centre forward who struggles to get his feet off the ground when trying to win a header, and a goalkeeper who struggles to catch a ball.
Dont blame todays defeat at anyone other than these two individuals

as for the GK, being able to kick a ball would be a nice optional extra

An extremely disappointed result after a 2nd half that was virtually all 1 way traffic down the St Albans half. Not much too really dig the bones out of for the 1st half, lethargic play and poor defending from a corner gave them the lead.

The 2nd half however, no cliches was total and utter dominance from start to finish for virtually all of it. We dominated the tempo and we looked really dangerous going forward, especially on the wings where Cory was proving a menace for their fullback. Get a deserved equaliser from it, and then suddenly a massive blunder from Kai, who let the ball slip through his hands after a weak attempt to try and palm it out. An exceptionally poor moment, and whilst every player makes a mistake in football, the timing of the goal could not have been worse.

From that point it was total dominance, but the lack of a killer touch was painfully obvious. I could not believe how many times the ball was cleared and sometimes scrambled away in the box, including 3 times on the goal line and many scrambles that somehow were not converted by any of our attackers. On any other day we easily get a point from the game and probably 3 points if we were clinical, but sadly football is a cruel game that punishes even the best of teams.

Nice to take a break from this poor start to the league season for the next week and play in the London Cup and FA Trophy. Cray Valley game is less important, but the FA Trophy clash vs Brentwood is. We need to win that to try and put desperately needed cash into the club, especially considering we have no home game revenue coming in this month. Won't be an easy game away to the league leader, but anyone can beat anyone in football. Onto next week.

A very tough pill to swallow losing that, we played so well during the 2nd half and had several chances cleared off the line. Agree with the above the individual mistakes are killing us, 2nd game in a row the goalkeeper is all over the place and can't catch anything coming into the boxes, I don't think I've seen a keeper so bad at dealing with crosses and commanding the area . Maybe time to give Freddie another go or get another keeper in! I think O'Neil at right back is a liability too, always gets beat for pace and as a set piece taker doesn't offer enough.

I was surprised Ruben didn't get on today, I felt like he was someone we could've done with in the box but maybe Rod doesn't fancy him? I'm still very sure we will stay up, today was a good performance just unlucky.

We are where we are in the league purely down to Lee Martin, we lost today down to fine margins against a side who are in the FA cup 1st round and looked better than most sides we've played this season.

Onwards and upwards

Ruben couldn't come on. He wasn't on the bench. I think that he was ill.

Gk prone to clangers and letting soft ones in. Exactly the same as when we had him 1st time around. Need to plug that gap and give the defence some confidence.

V unlucky yesterday. Probably didn't create enough good chances but plenty of half chances. If rod can keep the levels of work rate, desire to yesterday I think we will see a team start to climb similar to when he first joined.
