Not often would I make the effort to visit a game as I now live in Yorkshire, but as I was in the area, a nice trip to Lewes seemed wise.
First half, Welling much the better team. Two sitters missed, I thought.
Refereeing awful, but no point being victims. That second half, Welling I would personally say got the result they deserved? They sat back, there was no chasing or closing down, there were oodles of warning signs. Silly b***ocks gets himself sent off, and they dont even think of then defending what would be an even more aggressive Lewes attack?
Tough on us today. Deserved a point in my opinion. The big decisions were in a way the easier ones (i.e. red card) but the ref constantly gave free kicks against us when they should have either been for us or play on. Pulled up players for taking three yards on a throw in but allowed free kicks to be taken ten yards from where they were, blew up for players falling over with no one around them then restarted with a free kick to them! There were so many bad decisions it was terrible. I did vent my frustrations at the ref towards the end, and having calmed down and reflected - I would do exactly the same again. Joker
Gutted, but the team spirit looked great.
If we can hang on to our current management team, then I really look forward to 2026.
Ignore the background noise and follow what we have.

A real shame we couldn't win this match today with so many bottom half clubs losing. We simply have to start sticking the ball in the net rather than playing well without scoring. We are better than our league position suggests so let's get some goals to go with these good performances.
We really played well. And deserved at least a point possible all three. Very disappointed in the state of the ground one toilet in the whole ground! Overpriced drinks which cash was not accepted. Very small club House, food was over priced, £5 for a small pie! crisps £1.70, don't know how big the bag was. And to top it all a bad referee and linesmen. Apart from that, an afternoon out. Back in time for strictly.

Dont know where you went Gary but I used 2 different lavatorial facilities whilst there. Dont know about pie but I had a decent portion of chips for £4. Cashless is the way forward and I am thankfull that most of our shop purchases are card as I no longer have to carry a lot of cash home to bank.
As far as the game goes I agree we played well and certainly deserved a point at least.

Cash is king.I asked one of the people who was a Lewes supporter, it was him who told me there was only one toilet, that was above the club shop
There were at least 3 facilities to use.
I had the pie, very nice to be honest!
Like GaryH said, I'm not annoyed about the extra times. I think there were 9 subs made, our keeper went down injured once, so did the oppositions, amongst other things so I thought 9 minutes was fair. Our keeper then went down injured again in injury time so another 3 minutes being added on I could understand.
The sending off I wasn't sure. Not sure it was a Red card tackle, but why our experienced captain decided to dive in like that, especially with the Referee making some very odd decisions, and give the Referree the chance to send him off was ill-advised. I would like to see the tackle back again
We played well first half, TQ missed an absolute sitter early on and then 2nd half we looked like a completely different side and were far off the pace. Worryingly whenever we made substitutions, I thought we actually got worse!
Hopefully with another signing or two we can get some more points on the board
