2 goals gifted, 2 sitters missed. Game of silly chances taken and missed. Sach did well for his goal, but really could have had 2 or 3. John was unlucky not to score his header. Keeper needs some new gloves without huge holes in them...
Went to the game with the extended family for the ritual "Boxing Day" fixture. Couple of poor errors led to a couple of their goals. We had our chances but didn't execute them. They had a good day out though the result wasn't what we wanted. Hope we can get some points in the next few games as the lads are trying we just need to take our chances and not make silly errors.. On to Cray Valley PM next week. I am sure there will be a good turn out from the Welling faithful. Up the Welling.
Did we not get the 'rub of the green' again? Or did the ref favour them again? Or both?
Or perhaps we were just absolutely f+++ing useless again?
Difference was we gifted them 2 goals in the first half and couldn't finish the 3 great chances we had. No excuse for the appalling defending on the 2nd goal but the whole ground except apparently the linesman could see it was our throw in not theirs in the build up to it. I wouldn't say we were useless, and did give them a game. Not sure about the keeper though and the 'long throw' tactic that only just gets to the edge of the 6 yard box if we're lucky cam do one to.
