Their match on Tuesday was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Though there is no indication of any pitch inspection or doubt on our match going ahead, there is a 30% to 40% chance of more rain overnight and it might be advisable to check their X or Facebook page before investing £3.50 each way on the crossing.
If I recall correctly from a friendly we played there several seasons ago, their pitch is slightly below sea level and the river is very close by.
As with the Wingate game, surprised it took so long to get John on the pitch. Is he going to be our David Fairclough cameo type of player? This to those who can remember the conquering Liverpool side of yesteryear.
Seemed to me there were four efforts on goal, and they all went in. Muddy pitch that was never going to make for a showpiece game, but another dig deep performance.
Back 4 and goalkeeper looking solid.

Three points was crucial yesterday and our form is pretty good now. A heavy pitch so will be interesting to see how we play at Aveley on Monday night. Dean Gunner is looking solid and quietly doing an excellent job with Lekan and there's other improvements all round. We have to look at the next few games overall and not be afraid of a loss when we now know we can get wins.
