Starting this one early as it's the last of the season, and it looks like there will be some fun in the sun on the terraces, especially as Tommy Davis is out for Billericay.

The offer of 20% off for any Wings / Billericay season ticket holders / clothing-wearers is back at the Kentish Belle, opening at midday for the occasion again.

See you all on Saturday, unless I get stranded in Cumbria...

There should have been a red card in the first half. The ref and Lino discussed and then bottled it.

Yes, the Billericay captain was lucky to stay on the pitch and it seemed like the Billericay keeper was also dealt with leniently, by way of a yellow card, after wiping out John Ufuah. Our first half performance wasn't great but we definitely improved in the second half and deserved a draw at the very least.

The top two in the form table ends up a draw!

We've had some good battles with Billericay over the years and yesterday showed that we can live with a play-off team.

If the Wings...

Billericay keeper was only carded as john was going away from goal at the point of contact, can't say much for the ade azeez hair pull as I didn't see it but if it was it should have been a red card

Was he? Although he was not running directly at goal he would have still had an empty net to steer towards had he gone past the goalkeeper and I would suggest that it constituted denial of a goal scoring opportunity.

 From Billericay X

Lamacq has absolutely wiped out Ufuah 30 yards from his own goal, he only goes into the book. Interesting decision.

I heard the Lino/ref say it was only a yellow as he was heading away from the goal

When you are looking to go round a goalkeeper you are always going to veer slightly off course. The fact is that if he hadn't wiped him out, he would have had an empty net ahead of him so, regardless of where he was facing at the point of impact, it was still denial of a goalscoring option. Ignoring that, the actual challenge was reckless and would probably have deserved a red card anywhere else on the pitch.

Last night, I was at SE Dons v Croydon and a Croydon player broke free but wasn't heading directly at goal when he was brought down by the full back. The red card came out for that even though a central defender was running back and there was still a big goalkeeper to beat. That appeared to be far less of a goalscoring opportunity.
