Yes 7:30pm. I don't think it is avaliable online.

Hopefully the club will not be changing either its name nor the badge. I have mixed feelings about WUSA being dissolved.

They voted unanimously to dissolve provisionally on 30th June but they have left the decision of whether to invest the remaining funds into a trust or a new supporters association to be decided by another committe of 12. I'm not sure if their recommendation then needs to be ratified by 2/3 of the members at the AGM.

It was a members meeting so probably shouldn't be discussed on an open forum.

God there are some strange things going round. I will not discuss wusa on an open forum. However this idea that the club is changing name is as true as Hashtag have crowds of 15000. There is a tidy up of the club crest to bring Pegasus upto date. It happened a few years back as well but no one seemed to notice or if they did were not worried about it. Pegasus will look as though it means business and not, like as was said, an overweight Shetland Pony.

Our previous badge change was simply removing the scrolls from above and below the badge. That was around a decade ago. The badge is based around the Kentish Horse with additional Wings. The new badge  has no such connection to Kent, its just made up. I don't know why the club have done this without consulting the fans. This is what WUSA should have been for- to give the fans a voice about such decisions.

Yeah Chris sounds like he is on the money as always - why is it being changed anyway? Why is wusa gone?

How is the planning permission about building on the ground going? This stinks of something to do with that - it's not like Welling is Man U so can make money off of a logo change so something must be going on

I dont understand what is to be gained financially by changing the badge?
All I see is costs.
Web Re-design, update all stationary and associated documentation, advertising branding changes.
Unless I am missing something, where are the positives in this?

The cost of doing something, is not always the reason not to do it. There's plenty of clubs who feel that branding changes are good and proper. If I was being honest, I would say that a horse with wings, given the horse is the Kent Invicta horse (whatever you want to call it), may not have a lot of meaning to most younger fans. Man City and Spurs' logo changes have been probably a distinct positive, so maybe there's a similar thought here?

My issue with the entire badge change is that it looks like something off a Disney football show. Borders are too thick and the pegasus looks too cartoonish. Theres nothing wrong with our badge, and even if there was, club crest swaps scarcely go well. Is there any given justification for it beyond just modernisation?

The current badge is not Pegasus. It is the Kent Invicta horse with Welling wings. I know that you are opposed to Kent and any suggestion that Welling is a Kent club, but looking back into our history, when the club was formed it was in Kent.

I have no idea who that Brett bloke is. The chairman did not introduce him, or explain why a Manchester United supporter has been empowered into changing the badge. However, his idea for a new kit, I liked. His aims of more red in the ground, I liked. Changing the Kent Invicta horse into My Little Pony, I hated. Don't even get me started on the 'Easter Egg' on the hind quarters. It looked like a diagram on the sex education chapter in my Biology test book when I was at school.

Who knows? He wasn't introduced so I don't know if he is a randomer who got involved because his daughter plays for a Welling (Greenwich Borough) girl's team.
