For those with interest, and as the weather is suggesting it will be alright, a digital version has been made up. The Elephant is closed during hop festival weekends, but plenty of other options are available. The walk to the Shipwrights, and its associated 12-3 food menu (Ham, egg & chips, scampi, sausages and mash etc.) could be particularly delightful.

An additional piece of information, the 'Bucket and Spade' from local stations to Margate / Ramsgate is still running next Saturday. So, if you want minimal changes of trains, it leaves Dartford at 10:06 and arrives at Faversham at 11:05.

It also leaves from Deptford (09:28), Greenwich (09:31), Maze Hill (09:34), Westcombe Park (09:36), Charlton (09:39), Woolwich Dockyard (09:42), Woolwich Arsenal (09:45), Plumstead (09:47), Abbey Wood (09:51), Belvedere (09:54), Erith (09:57), Slade Green (10:01) and Greenhithe (10:12). All direct to Faversham.

Connections arrive at Dartford at 09:56 from the Sidcup line and 09:55 from the Bexleyheath line.

Visited the Shipwrights last year for the first time in maybe 50 years, nothing had changed! A step back into the 60's, a decent ale from the barrel (Goachers) but crap food and worn out furnishings. Doubt they could cope with more than a dozen guests? Just my 'recent' experience FYI.

One thing I forgot to add further, Time & Tide have opened a new bar called The Bank. It doesnt even appear in some searches, so if you do find it, they will no doubt serve some very hazy hop-forward pales and the like.
