If anyone doesn't fancy the coach, there are trains from London Bridge to Hastings and change there for Pevensey and Westham which is the closest station to the ground.

Just be aware there are no trains from Sidcup or Bexleyheath lines to London Bridge - only Woolwich line.

The services from London Bridge to Hastings operate via Croydon and Redhill on diversion so are also a bit longer in time. Expect them to be busy as theres a Battle recreation at, erm, Battle and whilst additional services are out of Victoria via Bromley South, those only go to Battle so you then have to swap again and stand there like a melon until the next Hastings.

The quickest route is Ebbsfleet - Ashford - Eastbourne / Pevensey if you can do it.

Getting to London Bridge is a mission. No trains go there on the Bexleyheath or Sidcup line.

And now trains from London to Hastings on Southeastern are accruing up to 60 minute delays in each direction - seems theres some issues between Tonbridge and Redhill which are then just making trains miss their slots elsewhere.

HT 1-0 Eastbourne

Didnt see the goal. Came from a soft free kick given in the box we are attacking.

More entertainment in the away section than on the pitch atm. Jobsworth steward provoking fans. How dare you bang a drum and make noise at a football game.

Gave it a proper go second half.
Although we lost to a team, that I think will be in the mix for auto promotion. Very content walking away today.
Good turn out supporter wise.
Seen hell of a lot worse away from home this season.
A lot of positives taken from that.
Ryan, Billy, squad.
Heads up lads. We go again

Respectfully I cant agree that was a good performance. The attempted passes were so wayward that Eastbourne just had to wait for the minutely mistakes. I didnt enjoy the lack of potency and venom, and it feels like were coming off the high that weve been on. Thats not to say we should expect 42 wins, but we do need to see an extra signing or two I reckon.

Agreed, we certainly need a decent centre mid.
I am not up on the new terminology, but someone who can sit in the centre circle, win and hold the ball. Get a free kick when needed, and lay a ball off.
Oh, and a centre forward that can read a game and take a gamble.

I purchased my burger before kick off so will not testify to the FA investigation. Maybe I should ask our stewards to tell EBFC fans to keep the noise down at Welling so I can hear people in the shop.confuse

One thing I have noticed about Langley Sports is they always seem to have a strong physical team. However they did seem to hit the ground very easily when tackled by our lads. Was nice to see Steve King getting annoyed in the first half shouting at the referee that we had committed 15 fouls.

Ha ha. He called me a c*** when walking off at half time.
I wore that as a badge of honour for the rest of the game.
One of those blokes you can easily hate just by looking at him.

Out of interest why you would you call him a c...?

He was arguably our most successful Manager in the last decade.

It was the other way round, I think. I just wonder what Wallop said to get that reaction. I spoke to Steve King before and after the game and had no issues.

Going behind I thought we could have folded but we kept going against one of the better teams in this league. Their budget is huge from what I've heard (no surprise) and we just lacked a bit of pace and decent deliveries as most seemed overhit.  Away form seems concerning due to cup games but league wise - won 2 lost 3, not good but not crazy either.

Some time ago, our chairman came out with a statement he took 10/15% of any player he signed, wages.

If this rings true, I have no time for the bloke whatsoever.

Players have followed him from club to club. If it us true would they still sign for him? That aside, did you accuse him of it? I can't see why he would abuse you randomly.
