I have just spoken to Graham Hobbins who has advised me that whilst August 2nd is a possibility as the date for the Charlton friendly it is as yet unconfirmed. He is not expecting a confirmed date until early next week.
Mark it in your diaries so that you don't commit to anything else but at this stage there is no absolute decision on the date.

Just had a response to an email I sent to Charlton this morning before speaking to Graham. They have confirmed that they will be playing Welling United in a pre-season friendly but the date is dependent on a tour they are arranging. They expect to have a full set of pre-season fixtures by the end of next week.
