Yes indeed Beazant looked good but dont know where we would play him as he is similar in style to Jamie Day. Thought the 11, Kevin George had some good touches. No one elese really stood out.
Che looked fit and was good around the penalty box. Perks played well. Paul Hyde looked like he had been sponsored by Cuprinol.
I just happened to be watching from the bar/terrace area and was impressed with what I saw! Have only watched a handful of Welling games and think I may come and watch a few more.
Thought no.11 had a sloppy touch at times, number 9 looked sharp and held the ball up very well. Last I heard Kedwel was off to Brentford, is this not the case?
I tend to agree. Plenty of skill, but too lightweight. He'll be buoyed off too many times in my opinion. Surely he wasn't the best of the bunch in the trialist game against Becks? Andrew Sam didn't make much of an impression against Grays, either. I think Vines Junior could have been a better gamble up front, from what I have seen of him so far, but there you go.
Okay Sherlock!! No vested interest, really - just an informed opinion. I've watched all the games so far, including the trialists match at Beckenham. Andrew Sam looked okay then, but didn't show very well against Grays. Beszant is very busy, but I've seen him in the past and he is easily knocked off the ball. Vines is a trier, a proven goalscorer and I am given to undertstand by fellow players (Becks, Cray Bromley), a good team player. I'm a bit of a groundhopper, so absorb quite a few opinions, and the general concensus is that Vines would be an asset. He played for Tooting & Mitcham last night - they lost 4-2, Vines made one and scored one. Praise where praise is due.
I don't know where you got the dad bit from, Sherlock. Wrong trail!! And you're putting words into my mouth. I just said I thought he deserved a chance more than some others. Barking up the wrong tree there - still it made me laugh.
youve also bigged up joe and paul in your posts and criticised those in competiton.
As i said i aint got a problem and would expect a father to big up there kids.
Wasnt going to mention it until you started saying vines jnr should have been playing because the other guy wasnt as good. Well done for letting us know paul was impressive last night at tooting, unfortunately we are different class to them and seek players who will DO IT in this league and above.
I hope joe has a good season and if paul is taken on that he does too.

Indeed as i said my mistake... You are only bigging BOTH Vines up and criticising others because you are a ground hopper and NOT related. My mistake You are not 47 years old and their dad ...
Look mate you are hung drawn and quartered and by continuing to deny you were slating otheres and bigging up your sons youre looking a tad silly my old china!!
Anyone can see all your previous posts on here by clicking your name. In conclusion and given the start of your email AND your previous "i love joe vines , sign up paul vines" You are their dad , or one of them using their dads email.
Keep it up cooky!!!! You keep insisting you are nothing to do with them...

Enough gentlemen - its the football we are interested in.
Facts are:
Ade and Co. have run the rule over both Joe and Paul Vines and as far as I know Joe has made the squad and Paul hasn't. No amount of bigging Paul up post his trial is likely to change Ade's mind and we've signed Akwasi Edusei who though we haven't seen much of him is proven at a far higher level than Paul.
Ade saw something in Andrew Sam in the Beckenham game that made him want to have another look. Unfortunately he didn't get much of a chance in the Grays game.
Ade has subsequently taken a look at Sittingbourne's Mark Lovell (who had trialled at Gravesend) in the Erith Town game and even allowing for the level of Erith Town he didn't make too bad a fist of it. Whether he impressed enough to be taken on remains to be seen.

I think i read that Lovell is getting another runout for us and also that Keds is still likely to leave. IMO the club want him to go and are keen on keeping the "bidding war" in the press??
Every week we read brentford want him, 2 league clubs want him and 2 conference teams... Why havent they come in with a big fee and snapped him up then?

Maybe im Wrong as I have been in the USA for 5 years, but I thought I read in the report after the game at Huddersfield that kedwell was not fit enougth for that level of football thought it said he lacked pace at that level of football?
But having not seen him play I can not judge the player.
