Sky Sports just announced that trialist striker Gavin Tomlin has been offered a contract at Griffin Park.

Hopefully, they only wanted 1 more striker!!!

Taken from Brentford's official website....

"Bees Manager Leroy Rosenior has spent a busy day in trying to build his squad as the big kick off inches ever nearer.

He has offered a contract to Gavin Tomlin, who scored the solitary goal in last Saturday's victory over Hampton. Rosenior said 'He has good potential and can play wide right or up front. I look forward to working with him'.

Gavin Tomlin's strike partner on Saturday, Georges Santos, whose most recent of six clubs was QPR, is currently holding negotiations with the club with the possibility of joining us. He has played in both central defence and up front for our west London neighbours.

Leroy Rosenior is also hopeful of completing negotiations with a central defender over the next 24 hours and is hoping to have further news in that respect tomorrow"

From our point of view good news so far, but I would not anticipate the Keds will be there for the start of the season. If the Brentford thing does not come through I could see a Conference national side snapping him up

Simple question..

Would you accept this

£25,000 for keds plus 20% sell on or a player

£50,000 for keds

NIL Dont sell him

I liken keds to Horsfield Who went for big bucks and fees totalling 5 million later on.

Why dont we set a fee, slap it on him and say to him... You score the goals son and they will pay it. Personally i would want over 50k and only sell to a league club, after all arent we aiming for the conference? so why would we sell a player to a conference club and hinder our own progress.

And the Bees are also watching Welling striker Danny Kedwell, who recently spent a week training with them.

The Wings would want a fee for their top scorer, but boss Adrian Pennock told BBC Radio Kent: "I don't want to stand in the boy's way.

"I don't want him to leave - and if he stays, it will be brilliant for the club - but he's got a young family and he's got to look after them."

Kedwell won the Conference South player of the month award three times last season, having joined Welling from Herne Bay in the summer of 2005.
