I would hope that Charlton follow their usual practice of sending a strong squad to PVR.

Ticket prices
Adult Terrace - £10
Child (Under 15) & OAP Terrace - £6
£2 extra for Seating

Not all ticket as far as I am aware but it is adviseable to get a ticket in advance especially if you are hoping to sit in one of the stands (there were only 250 seats left at the beginning of the week.) Tickets are available at PVR between 10am and 5pm in the week. Any queries can be answered by phoning the Club on 020 8301 1196.

Addicks given Spanish lesson

Valencia 3 Charlton Athletic 1

CHARLTON were beaten 3-1 on Saturday night when they took on La Liga side Valencia in their third pre-season game at the Mestall stadium.

The Spanish side raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from former Liverpool striker Fernando Morientes and skipper Ruben Baraja.

Substitute Gonzalo Sorondo pulled a goal back for the Addicks after the break, but Silva wrapped up the victory for Valencia late on.

New Charlton boss Iain Dowie took a look at a number of players by making eight substitutions.

Charlton's next match is against Nationwide Conference South side Welling United at Park View Road on Wednesday evening.

Charlton: Myhre (Anderson h-t), Young, Hreidarsson, El Karkouri (Sorondo 34) (Fortune 66), Ashton, Rommedahl, Hughes (Euell 73), Holland (Walton 80), Ambrose (Kishishev h-t), Hasselbaink (Walker 80), M Bent (Sam h-t).

Since when did "I would hope that Charlton follow their usual practice of sending a strong squad to PVR" become Charlton are sending a strong side?

The writing was on the wall as soon as they cancelled their other match at Bishop's Stortford (after I posted) but we can still live in hope.

There's no room for any doubt in the following taken from the Conference South board though
"My prediction

Welling 0 Charlton 9

Last year was 1-1 with the Addicks equalising through luke young near the end.

Anyone want to lay me 2k at 1.78 on Charlton" !!!!!

My dear boy its called ramping!!

Creating interest in a bet and false assurances.. making the other options better odds,

Why oh why would i go from saying on here and betfair charlton will play a young team??

Bruno i laid a bit of 1.18 and i got plenty of Welling at 6 and 7/1 and had a small bit on the draw too.

Anyone remotely concerened with things at Welling would have had no dounts that they were to play a weak addicts team.

JgFc got in and made a nice few quid!!  Only 400 quid was matched and over 50% of that was mine!!

Work it out at 6/1 and 7/1!!

"a weak addicts team"

Well that would explain why they weren't up to much!
