Kens post match comments "An excellent work out with the emphasis on trying to play some quality football. We need to be able to keep the ball, and at times today we looked very good. All of the triallists played well, and it was a bonus that both Chris and Joe scored.
Well done to everyone."
bruno's view It was clear from the outset that there were going to be goals scored today and I was surprised that it took 17 minutes for the ball to find the back of the net. It soon became equally apparent that the defence was solid and going to take some beating.
With 2 very quick players it is tempting to play the long ball game and that is certainly how the game started but there are some good midfield players and we were treated to some skillful work from them, though in my view there were times when they were playing a bit too deep.
It was the first time I have seen the side play this season and it is clear that the side is stronger than last season.
It would be great to see the lads efforts in the red shirt appreciated by more than the Dad's and myself. Why not take a look at the dates for the remaining friendlies and the fixture list for September, come along, and see for yourselves just how well the lads are representing the Club.
