Ken's Comments:
“Before the game we would have been happy with a draw and a point. However having been in front 1-0 and 2-1 we were disappointed in the end not to gain all 3 points.

When we played our football we looked a decent side. However, we have to learn not to respond to our more experienced opponents winding us up, and some of our lads have to learn to deal with the physical demands of playing boys a year older.

Man of Match today: Sam Wilson.”

bruno's Comments:
This was the first match against a 2nd year side which included players with Saturday League football experience and, whilst it is not likely that this will be the most physical side which they meet, the experience of a year at this level was evident.

The overall performance was better than last week but there is some work to be done with the mental approach to events in the match.

The most disappointing thing was that Lewisham’s goals were both the result of basic defending errors for which you will inevitably be punished at this level.

On the plus side I thought that Sam Wilson was a worthy MoM with his vision and untiring performance.

Lessons had clearly been learned from last week’s match and I’m sure they will be from this week’s.

A creditable start to the season.
