Ex Welling legend and one of my mates John Glover sadly passed away last night. John had suffered a long illness. John leaves a young family and Wife Debbie. John was a true mate to me and im proud i had some small part in bringing him back to PVR when he left the club.
I'm sure that all Wings fans would like to join me in raising a glass to a fine player and a gentleman.
I would hope that the WSU will arrange a minutes silence. I myself would love to see a memorial match versus maidstone. I am sure there are many many ex wings and stones that would like to pay their respects to Johnny G. RIP Mate, God bless.
Thanks
JgFc

My sincerest condolences to his wife and his family at this difficult time. Fighting against a serious illness is always difficult not only for the person themselves but those around them and though it sounds as if it may well have been a release it will still be very hard to come to terms with.
Rest In Peace John

RIP from all at Gravesend. He played for us for a spell and was assistant manager for a while. Always had time for a chat with fans, one of those one-or-two-club men who loved the game and all that went with it.
