IF we have a sponsor I can't see us reciprocating even if an AFC Hornchurch player is head and shoulders above the best Welling player - which of course won't be the case so no problem.

Bridie is a good bloke, really friendly, down to earth and he certainly got the urchins playing after the break. I spose you can see his point in a way but maybe he over reacted or the sun just took that one quote and over played it.

he was disappointed as we had not won the match and he felt that his team had worked superbly hard to turn the game around...that disappointment manifested itself in the little cameo over the mom....bridie is a top manager and a top bloke and we had a little larf about it yesterday as is the way of these things....and yes the sun did misquote him but no harm done...all good exposure for the club..
we have always been magnanimous in victory or defeat at the bridge and have given several mom awards to visiting players before bridies time...it has to be said however that his opinion that these 'team motivational matters' should perhaps be the managers domain are understandable and we shall rethink the issue....
in the meantime colin was inpressed and grateful for the support of both sets of fans on saturday which gave the players and management a great atmosphere to play in and he asked me to say so on here......lets hope it is the same tomorrow evening and also let us hope that the game is as exciting...
win lose or draw our lot will be having a good night out..
