So you think the money is sitting in the bank eh?

It paid off debts from previous seasons as discussed at the meet the manager evening"

I'm a bit bemused since I have always been led to believe that we did not have debts from previous seasons and that the financial prudence which brought this about was why we didn't spend as much as some Clubs on the team. This belief was reinforced at last years Meet the Management night. I am aware that we caught a £40,000 pound cold in the litigation about the new stand and that that probably wasn't budgeted for so may well have become a debt but not other losses. Was there any expansion on this at the Meet the Management night?

I was told by GH that several seasons ago some of the players were on £300 pw. Are we now being told that this has given rise to debts? I wouldn't have thought that this was the case with the player budget cuts and the subsequent dependence on Aide's skills at finding and developing young players who, even allowing for inflation, surely aren't on those sort of wages. So what were the carried over debts?

Surely too carried over debts are an integral part of the Club's overall budget, be they unpaid bills at the time of preparing the budget or previous years losses., As such they are by negotiation paid off over a period of time and don't just wait for a good year to clean the slate.

Having paid off these debts does this mean that if Aide's aspirations are still being met at Christmas we will be in a better position to take the gamble and make extra funds available to Aide if he thinks we need them to ensure a good finish?
