I think JgFc called it about right but he forgot to mention Che who is on course to exceed his tally for last year.
Of the others (based on the 21 League and FA Cup matches played so far) Andrew Sam scored in the first 2 games of the season having come off the bench. He has had a very debilitating illness which saw him out for 2 months and I believe has yet to regain full fitness, let alone match fitness but when he regains this I’m sure he will weigh in with his fair share of goals. He has only played the equivalent of 2.3 matches in 8 appearances.
Kwasi played the equivalent of 3.6 matches in 11 appearances and failed to score.
Gabs scored on his debut when he played for 12 minutes. He is a proven goalscorer and has a good record of assists at U18 level and is very much a prospect for the future. In the set up which applies to most clubs, even at Kent League level, would I suggest be continuing his development in a reserve side rather than the 1st team or the U18 side. Having said that his pace and strength is likely to pose a threat at Conference South level.
Steve Harper has only just signed and has yet to appear.
As far as League and FA Cup games go, so far the facts are : Keds scores every 148 minutes played Che scores every 244 minutes played Sam scores every 105 minutes played Kwasi didn’t score in 327 minutes Gabs scored in his 12 minute appearance.
It is clear that we need to find a replacement for Keds who Ade believes will be gone by the January transfer deadline. Ade has stated in the press that Harper is not a replacement for Keds so I believe he must be tracking other strikers.
Obviously we need strikers but we do have a team that can score from all positions as can be seen by the fact that we have had 10 midfielders and defenders who have found the back of the net scoring 16 times to add to the 20 times the strikers have in League and FA Cup games.
