Simply put Newport won the game because they were the better team on the day. We made some clumsy mistakes on set pieces and markings and lost a lot of battles in tackles and being second to the ball. No one deserves singling out, as Ade said they will be up there come the end of the season and on this display I can see why.
Its not the end of the world for us, just one match and next week is another game.

I have to agree we were not at our best and that in the round Newport were probably the better side on the day.
I was a bit miffed when my half time prediction that we we come out with all guns blazing for the second half, pull back the deficit and get the winner went out of the door. We did come out all guns blazing, we did get the 2 goals and we had the game by the scruff of the neck until we gifted Newport a third goal and the game wriggled from the hold we had established on it. The positive was that despite a couple of players not having a good day we didn't collapse and it has to be said that we were still trying to salvage at least one point right up until Daisy's last ditch shot which went a couple of feet wide.
Glad I'm not Bods today as I'm sure he will be feeling the lasting results of being the marked with the hack me down at every opportunity badge!

Seemed closer to 7500 than 750 ;) and also Newport scored 2 fortunate goals. 1st one was a defelected free kick and 3rd was a dubious free kick. Heads up lads, didnt get going until too late and battled back. Learn from it and come back stronger for the next game and get off to a better start.
