What can you say , 2 legs vs a conference team. Came back in both games and nicked the winner in the replay at a neutral ground. I would say that a fantastic performance.
Well done lads. Onwards and upwards and Saturday is there for you IF you do what you do best, Superb, well done ALL!

What are you, a bunch of amateurs or a professionally run football Club?
Your OFFICIAL web site has said since 15th January that the tie is scheduled for Saturday, 3rd February, and it still says that now. Also, there is an announcement of fixture changes up to April that includes no mention of any fixture change for the Trophy game.
Either John Glover's Fan Club is a wind-up merchant or else your Club's official PR is one of the worst around.
I accept that we didnt know who we playing on Saturday until tonight, but any reasonable City fan would have made allowance that their travel plans on Saturday might involve a journey to Kent. Are you now seriously suggesting that was never to be the case at all, despite continuing to officially advertise it?
This is a BIG game, the last 16 of the top non-league trophy. I suggest that your Club treats it as such.
But that's nonsensical. This is an F.A. Trophy tie on your ground which was arranged for Saturday 3rd February but we find just days before the scheduled day of the game that it has been moved to the Sunday. Just because the Deres are in a lower league does not mean that their needs should be treated as unimportant but I am sure their fixture was known about since before last night so there has been ample time to enforce a rearrangement or do Kent League fixtures now take priority over F.A. Trophy games?
Having decided not to play the replay last week as they should have done, K, this is clearly a tactic to either/and/or a) a cynical ploy to reduce the number of City supporters who would travel b) secure an extra days rest for their players after a mid-week game c) demonstrate the utmost incompetence d) use misleading public advertising, for which there may be a liability
Get the print offs from their official website before they change it.

I'm getting an increasing impression that the former applies. Knowing of the floodlighting problems at Park View Road I sent an e-mail to the contact address on the official website asking for clarification regarding the kick-off time. The e-mail was sent on 25th January yet I have still not received a reply!

I can assure all Worcester City supporters that the announcement that the game was to be played on Sunday came as just as much of a shock to the vast majority of Welling fans when it was announced at the match tonight, though I understand that there were rumours of it on the terraces pre match. Damned inconvenient/impossible for some of us too.
I must say that my experience of using the contact form on the Official website has always been positive with a short turn around. From tonights announcement I suspect that if there had been a response it would have still have referred to a Saturday match and that perhaps the delay in responding arises from the webmaster seeking clarification of the time from the Club as he didn't know.
Whatever the rights and wrongs its Game On on Sunday at 2pm and may the best team win.

We can feel your pain, we had 2 days notice we were travelling to tamworth!! couldnt get a straightforward train there and back or cheaper fares.
The official site is overseen by a young lad and the email goes to him, the club to my knowledge have no official direct email address (or havent published one!)
The Official site should have said will possibly be sunday, that is for sure as they knew erith had a game, Whether they forwent the League takes precidence to get an extra days rest in is anyones call.
But claiming for compensation and stuff on your forum is silly. You couldnt book anything until after the welling game tonight and minutes after it its been circulating its on sunday.
You need to sit back and think oh crap! and get on with it. Theres even some of your fans who couldnt make saturday that can now make sunday.
Its still a big game, still all to play for and still this weekend.
If you wish to vent your spleen then call 0208 301 1196 and ask for Graham Terence Hobbins or Barrie Rodney Hobbins the owners of Welling United FC.
Slagging the club off on our forum is likely to stir up the natives and with the Paul Hyde hate from your fans this is not a good idea. Safe journey to and from on Sunday and hope you get well and truly stuffed

Although not pretty last night, sheer determination took hold to bring us back from 1 down - a quality we lacked last season. There were a couple of players who didn't look very good at all, and few who really pulled out all stops. Full marks for Andrew Sam who after looking very lethargic on Saturday really looked lively, and was the first to play some good football. Let's hope he can get full fitness so we can start using him to his full potential.
Do you not see the difference JGFC between us knowing that whatever the result last night, City were travelling to either Tamworth or Welling on Saturday, and knowing (which we didnt) that if Tamworth win we go there on Saturday, and if Welling win we go there on Sunday?
The big differences are player availabiltiy, family arrangements, time of work for fans, coach hire etc.
Dont defend the indefensible. Your Club has advertised the fixture as Saturday, and your Club are trying to change it at short notice. Which may not be allowed.
Dont condesecend me by saying I cant raise this as an independent topic without it being linked to another matter of your choosing that you have raised elsewhere on your own message board at least twice, and no Worcester fan has.
And Where have welling ever said Welling V Worcester City WILL take place on Saturday 3rd?They havent. None of your fans could have said oh we are playing at Welling on Saturday. Immediately after the game it was circulated, Furthermore i will be gobsmacked if your club werent aware of a switch to sunday long before last evening. Ask Dave Boddy!!
You do seem to be going a bit mad, i can sense you may think its a bit harsh but perhaps your club are guilty too of not making your fans aware.
I know off the pitch Welling can be a bit of a jackie brambles BUT i cant see them not telling City about a switch to sunday until today?
hopefully you will apologise if Dave boddy comes on and says yes we knew before the replay was played.

Worcester have this morning appealed for Welling to be THROWN out of the FA trophy for being unable to fulfil their fixture on the 3rd of February... Worcester have stated that they are UNWILLING to play on the Sunday.
NICE!!!!

According to their ebsite the F.A. understand that the tie is meant to be played on Saturday. Who do Welling United think they are that they can ignore the game's governing body and just move the game to suit themselves?
Of course it will say Saturday on FA Site and Welling did not have a game to advertise until after 9:45pm last night, what if Tamworth had won!! It doesn't matter what day it is played you lot have wound up a team on top of the league, in great form and stirred up a hornets nest. We should be thanking you. Our lads will be reading this and thinking, Roll on Sunday!
Incredible scenes from the Tinpot club in the Conference North.
JGFC, I hope that you now have the grace and courtesy to turn around your call for apologies and insinuations. And see them in a new, more reflective, light.

Which is what non-league football is all about.
