Not surprised to hear that about Preece. Nasty piece of work. He was moaning from the first minute. Almost got himself sent off after confrontation with 4th official.
He even had the cheek to moan about Moore. Perhaps he though Moore had headbutted his elbow.
Anyone know why there were two ambulances in attendance after the final whistle?
A good hard battle today from the Wings, who deserved to go through. Preece was a right whinger, having a go at the referee observer (or whatever they're now called) in the stand after the game - what a baffoon.
Fantastic result, Des had a great game today which is great to see. Hyde looked like he may have a minor injury, as Perkins had to take goal kicks.
Not sure on the two ambulances, must have been serious...
Worcester Chairman eventually said a few words including..
he thought they matched us throughout and could have equalised , he said welling are a good, big strong side and probably have to give them credit for edging it. Graham Ward (Damien Duff, Hibernian insurance.... priddddy goooooooood" Said it was all about missed chances and not how strong welling were, said was not a foul for our set piece where Carths scored and said he thought the ref said there was a minute to go in first half before we scored. he also though that City more than matched us.
the commentator was different saying Worcester shouldbt have been infront, Mc Donnell a hero, and after Welling went infront that City never really looked like equalising. Dave Boddy said after that he thinks anyone can win the Trophy and he thought city had a good chance prior to kick off. he also said City been MASSIVELY over budget this season so far and had to cut the budget.
....
Good win for us TWO TIES from WEMBLEY, get a good draw and we are a 2 legged tie from playing at Wembley Stadium.
Great result, BELIEVE!! and MORE money thats around 20k including gate receipts from the Trophy none of which is budgeted for i would imagine as you cannot budget for cup runs.
11k this week alone plus a bit from the gates.
Lost top spot in the league but we are still bang there.
Happy Days as Adie says.... COME ON YOU WINGS!
3 big bets on welling this season and 3 wins for me , im off to get absolutely wrecked.

Not sure that they matched us throughout and having exposed a weakness they failed to capitalise on it. They certainly had chances which they didn't manage to put away and the bottom line has to be if you can't put the ball away you ain't going nowhere.
However reluctantly given at least Dave Boddy recognised who were the better side on the day.
Really pleased for Des who was in form today and was rewarded with a goal and sorry for Keds whose despite effort and industry didn't bag a goal, though he very nearly did with a cracking strike in the second half.

Hydey injured himself early in the first half of the Tamworth game at G&N and he confirmed that it was still troubling him today. However, he is made of stern stuff and did all that was required of him despite the injury. Lets hope a full week off will aid his recovery.

I notice that some Worcester fans have been bleating on their forum about having to stand among '****neys' when they came to PVR. I can only assume that dozens of Worcester fans mistakenly turned up in the East End of London to watch Eastcheap United Vs Plaistow Town. Or perhaps they just don't know their geography very well.
I think it depends where you are in the ground. From behind the duouts 600 looked about right. Not a huge amount behind the goal for the wings which is how I normally gauge it, plus how many are stanging on the cricket ground side.
It's a shame as Charlton are at home to West Ham on the 24th, so if we do get a home draw in the trophy we wont get any additional from there.
